W... T... F...

How can the Tarheels go to sleep in big games like this?

Just like the nerves they showed in the Georgetown game last year they hit these droughts where they cant seem to make a layup.

Is it a coaching problem?

Roy needs to somehow get his team to relax and JUST PLAY.

The shame is that Carolina is the better team, we should have hammered Kansas... and would have if we didn't start playing after a 28 point deficit.

Give us one more year Tyler!

It's a shame to you because you're a Carolina fan...not because they're the better team. If you look at it from an objective standpoint (which you're obviously not), I'm not quite sure how you can make a statement like that after watching that game. Even if they were to play a 3 game series, I don't think UNC wins once. I said going in KU would win...they just have too many bodies to throw at Hansbrough (Arthur, Jackson, Kaun, and Aldrich). Plus, KU's bench is far superior to UNC's. Roy Williams just couldn't seem to find the right mix of players.

At least the Tar Heels managed to make a game out of it......well, not really.

How do you figure Carolina is the better team? It's not like KU was spotted that 28 point lead! And how do you know UNC would of hammered KU if they hadn't of gone up 28 points early?(Also, I don't think KU would of lost focus like they did if they didn't have that huge lead) After all KU got up 21 points late when they finally regained focus and won by 18. KU outplayed UNC, no ifs, ands, or buts. I like UNC and think they are a great team, I always root for them if they aren't playing KU. KU is the better team this year and deserve a chance to play for the National Championship.

That probably won't happen...but it is a good idea. The kid plays hard and all, but he is going to be wholly outsized in the NBA for what he does. He'll look back to his college career as better days, because he'll be dominated at the next level. With that said...I hope he gets all he can for his first contract...then he'll be paid handsomely for at least a couple of years.

Angry

Oh my God that was a really bad first half, my son wanted to turn it off after being down by 28 pts. I wanted to turn the sound off after Billy Packer said this game was over with I think at the 8 minute mark in the first half. I think for now on I think if he does announce another UNC game I will put it on mute just to shut him up. I am waiting for someone to come out with an answer as to why Lawson was playing like he was.
Personally I don't think anyone on this team is ready for the NBA but money will talk. It was a good year but I guess they were thinking about Monday night and getting ahead of themselves. Kansas put a different team on the floor then the game against Davidson, they wanted it more and had something to prove.
Who do you pull for now Kansas or Memphis? I think Kansas

Just as they were able to throw a number of bodies at Hansbrough with their 4 posts, they were able to suffocate Lawson as well with Chalmers, Robinson, and Collins. I don't know why the national media was so high on UNC for this game when Kansas obviously presented so many matchup problems for the Tarheels.

Good point...too bad Brandan Wright didn't realize that last year, he has basically disappeared in Golden State. The Tarheels sure could have used him last night.

Thumbs up

I think Marvin Williams would have been a senior this year

I don't blame Marvin Williams for leaving after his freshman year, he was a top 3 pick...Brandan Wright on the other hand probably could have benefited from a year or two more at UNC.

Very dissappointed, you have to give it to Kansas though, they came out, and hit UNC right in the mouth, UNC looked very flat, and slow. Not the team that dismantled Arkansas for sure.

I think me and all of the other gajillion Carolina fans must have been screaming at the same time for ROY to take a TO, right around 38-10. I know Roy and Dean for that matter like to let the kids play, but, damn you are playing to play in the National Championship, you just cant let Kansas or any other team do that to you!!

Carolina had 7 assists the whole game. That and their lack of rebounding, and interior defense is what really sealed their fate.

Kansas came out playing some wonderful ball, right when UNC were a shadow of themselves...

I am rooting for Memphis tonight, no way I can cheer for Kansas.
