I can't wait for college football!!
Geaux Tigers!

We get to defend our title this year. And it won't be easy. Unproven quarterbacks and a typically tough SEC schedule. The Appalachian State game won't be easy either.

A few good games that first weekend...
Alabama vs. Clemson
Illinois vs. Missouri
Kentucky vs. Louisville
Tennessee vs. UCLA

While I hate to see the summer come to and end, I love the fall and football season more than anything. Go Big Red!

Watch out for Texas Tech in the Big XII...18 returning starters (10 on offense) from last year's Gator Bowl victors. If Mike Leach is going to get to a BCS game while he's in Lubbock, this is the year to do it.

blyons200,

Looking forward to the TTU/Nebraska game on October 11th. Unfortunately for you guys, it'll probably be a tough season as it will take time for Bo Pelini to implement his system. Bill Callahan was a disaster. I think Pelini will turn things around though.

I sure hope the season will be better. I think it will be better this season simply for the fact Bo can get the players fired up, Bill Calahan, he just didn't seem to be able to do that. Last season was supposed to be the breakout season, where it all came together, and we had hope, for a while, until it all came crashing down.It was the worst season in my lifetime and on paper one of the worst of all time. The announcers constantly apologize for Nebraska's performance against KU, I've never heard that before, I wasn't even mad, I was just numb. That was horrible. I don't think we will have a collapse like that this season, that will make it better than last season alone. Thank God Calahan is gone, and good riddance.

Nebraska and TTU have had some barn burners in the past, let's hope this season is a good one to, it ought to be.

Look for KU to get punished in Lincoln, punished badly. We may not win, but they will wish they had a bus crash on the way up to the game anyway! I'm sure every returning Nebraska player has that one marked on his calender.

I can't wait for the season to start man, I've been jonesing ever since the Super Bowl!

I don't know...I know I'm biased, but I look for that game to be a little lopsided in Tech's favor. I think that for a few reasons, mainly because the game is in Lubbock. Also, we've got 18 returning starters from last season, and like you and I both pointed out, Nebraska will be in a transition mode next season. I think Nebraska's only shot will be if TTU looks ahead to A&M, who they play the week after.

I'm not "trash talking" or anything like that, just giving you my honest opinion. Actually, Nebraska is probably my favorite Big XII North team (loved the Tommy Frazier era), and I hope Pelini is able to right the ship eventually, once he starts getting his own recruits into Lincoln. You Cornhuskers have been without a good football team for long enough.

And if Nebraska (and A&M as well under Mike Sherman) is able to become a solid program again in the next few years, think about how good the Big 12 will be. They might challenge the SEC for best conference.

Default A Question For the Vets

Since this will be my first year of CFB with Sirius are games on Thursdays and Saturdays?

I did notice a glaring omission of SEC teams from Sirius' list. I know CBS has the television rights, but it shouldn't preclude Sirius from getting audio feeds unless the SEC has a separate deal already in place.

Will ch 123 be the primary for non ESPN games?

TIA

It is probably my bias thinking it won't be lopsided (unlike last year). To be honest, what I have read Nebraska's defense has GLARING holes. Not Bo's fault, the total lack of defensive thinking on the old coaching staff's part. The offense, however, has the potential to be explosive. Offense is not going to win the big games, but hopefully we can keep it close. Though the defense sucks, I'm sure what we have will still be improved over last year.

I root for all Big 12 teams, except when they play Nebraska. I would love to see us return to the glory days and rival the SEC. The SEC is the best conference hands down, it would be awesome to see the Big 12 be as good.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that, since Tech and Nebraska didn't play last year. In fact, they haven't played each other since 2005 in Lincoln when Tech won 34-31. The year before, 2004, Tech won 70-10 (http://youtube.com/watch?v=I-P4Fs6PFZQ). I look for this season's score to not quite be as bad as 2004's, but Tech will probably win by 2-3 TD's.

My memory must be failing me. It was A&M that beat us 36-14 last year. Pretty lopsided for being a home game for Nebraska against an unranked opponent.

Vols. Television rights and radio rights really have nothing to do with each other. X
Also, Television airings have no bearing on what channel the games are aired on either.

The only team that has its own channel they are regularly on is Notre Dame. They are aired specifically on "the catholic channel."

Sirius concentrates its best college radio coverage within the Big 12, Big 10 and Big East..
and partially with the Pac 10.... i.e Ohio State, Michigan, Kansas St., Nebraska, Kansas,
Oklahoma, Missouri, West Virginia, Syracuse, USC, PITT, Cal, Texas A*M, UCLA, Texas Tech, Louisville..Colorado.. etc.
Alot of top teams in there.

All radio feeds come directly from the teams home radio broadcast team. You dont hear television audio for football games, or any games on sirius in retrospect.

Sirius only broadcasted those tv guys from Euro 2008 because they were to lazy to go out and hire a communications company that could give you a good radio feed as opposed to tv analysts.

I'm right there with you guys. I can't wait. I'm a Buckeye fan and I hope this year is a good year. Yea yea I know all you guys hate us. Hell the nation hates us. I hope that is better motivation this year. Anyway I love getting home from The Shoe after a Buckeye win and watching all the great games. I have to admit the SEC(which is always great) and the Big 12 are stacked. I love college football in the fall. Those grey skys here in Columbus are incredible. Good luck to everyones teams(except if you like Michigan). Please don't be to hard on me for loving the Buckeyes. I know they got killed, but I still love them.
