Default Nebraska game for 8/30/08 not on Sirius schedule?

WTF? If I remember correctly Sirius had all the Nebraska games covered last year. Usually a home feed during away games as well. I know it's not a big opponent but still, they should have it. Good thing I will be in KC watching on PPV.

Well, actually it WAS supposed to be on the radio. I'm a member of the Coloradans for Nebraska and it is my job to post the info in the newsletter. This is the info that was on Sirius's web site a couple of weeks ago:

8/30: Western Michigan @ Nebraska on Sirius channel 140 @ 5p MT
9/6: San Jose State @ Nebraska on Sirius channel 127 @ 10:30a MT

However, now that info is GONE!!!! So, I wonder what happened. On huskers.com, it says the Sirius info is TBD.

So, who knows... I'm very sad.

So, I just got off the phone with Sirius. They said there was probably more demand for the U. Tenn-Martin vs. So Florida than the Nebraska game! ARG! Anyway, if enough people call and complain, then they MAY put the Nebraska game back on. So, I would tell everyone to call in and demand the Nebraska game be put on.

Also, next week's game isn't on either when it was supposed to be!!!

Here is the list of games from the Big 12 web site...you can see Nebraska was supposed to be on Sirius:

Thumbs up

So, you probably all hate me for posting so much, so this will be my last one:

I called Husker Sports Network to complain about not having the Huskers on this week or next week. The manager was shocked and said the contract that NU has with Sirius is to broadcast ALL Husker FB games. The manager said he would fix the situation and it would be on this weekend!

Thumbs down Update!

I called the Sirius Corporate Office today and spoke with someone from Sports Programming. They said Sirius and the U. of Nebraska do NOT have a contract signed for this football season yet!!!!!

According to Sirius, they sent over a contract to Nebraska a month ago and it still hasn't been signed. I guess Sirius is trying to get the 9/6 game on the radio, but they can't promise anything.

This sucks!
