I expect a few of those teams in the PAC 10 to make it into the top 25 by the end of the year. Oregon, Arizona St, maybe Cal.

For some reason the PAC 10, with the exception of USC doesn't get Top 25 Poll love until the end of the year...

That didn't sound right...
lol, You are right. A couple years ago, the Pac 10 was much improved. This year, they are struggling with WAC teams.

I found this interesting - The SEC has a mind-numbing 10 teams in the top 37 in total defense !!

The Big 12 is awesome this year too. 4 teams in the Top 10 and The Big 12, led by QBs like Chase Daniel, Sam Bradford and Graham Harrell, has four of the top five teams in total offense and nine teams in the top 31.

As weak as that is, it's not as bad as Texas Tech's. Eastern Washington, Nevada, SMU, and UMass. That's TWO FCS (Division 1-AA) teams! In all fairness, Tech did have Tulsa scheduled this season but they backed out for whatever reason (imagine how high-scoring of a game that would have been). So, in place of Tulsa, Tech had to scramble to find another opponent, and UMass was kind enough to oblige. Next year though, Tech starts a home-and-home series with UH, and the game will be held in Houston next season. I'm looking forward to that game, seeing as how I'll be able to go!

If an SEC team feels it necessary to schedule a light non-conference season, I really can't blame them. They get enough solid competiton within their own conference. Just look at Georgia's schedule this season as an example.

I agree. You get a lot of civilized discussion around here, instead of all the name-calling and the "your team sucks, my team is best" kind of stuff that gets you no where. And I get to have a little fun doing the week's wrap-up with the picture and caption thing. It's a great forum, as a whole.

And I know you and I have gone at it about Ohio State, but there's nothing wrong with a heated debate as long as you don't resort to juvenile cheap shots. Keep it classy, SBS.

I will never act like. I don't do the name calling thing. I'm to old for that shit. Thats the main reason I hate the forums on ESPN and CBSSPORTSLINE. There are so many assholes there. There is this one asshole on their that will start atleast 1 thread everyday stating how the SEC is the best and everyone else sucks. I have no problem stating that the SEC is the best and The Big12 is right behind it. I just hate when those guys latch on to their confrence and not their team. It's like if their team sucks all they have to say is our "Confrence" is bettter than yours. I just hate that.
