Default College football - Week 6

I'm excited for this weekend, mainly because it's the start of Big XII conference play (finally). No games featuring two ranked opponents, but after last week, you never know where the upsets will happen. Texas better be careful going to Colorado and not get caught looking ahead to next week's Red River Shootout. Missouri going to Lincoln is no gimme for the Tigers. And I'm happy that Tech will be on ABC when they play K-State.

Outside of the Big XII, there are a lot of other interesting games. There are two decent match-ups tonight with Pitt @ South Florida (ESPN) and Oregon State @ Utah (Versus). We'll see if USC can bounce back against Oregon, and if Wisconsin can right the ship against Ohio State. And how good is Vanderbilt really? Their game against Auburn should should give us a good indicator. UConn @ North Carolina on Saturday night could be a good one, too. I think Butch Davis hands the Huskies their first loss.

All of this, combined with the the baseball playoffs and the NFL...it's going to be a good weekend.

Wow, what was I thinking leaving out the Flordia State/Miami game this weekend? Well, let's be honest...both of these teams are also-rans nowadays, and have been for a few years. Earlier this decade, this would have been the marquee match-up of the weekend. Now...no one outside of Florida really cares. Oh, how times have changed...

Default Does Best of XM include SEC football?

Anyone know if SEC games will be on Best of XM? The advertising on the website doesn't reference the SEC as one of the conferences.

I dunno. I looked at the website, and it doesn't say anything about the SEC...

I've heard commercials about the Best of XM on Sirius today, and I thought they did say SEC, but I might be wrong...

Nope, we're definitely not talking Vince Young here.

Bobby Johnson has Vanderbilt just one win away from becoming bowl eligible. They haven't been bowling in Nashville since 1982...that's nearly three decades!

Not yet. Still a couple seasons away for the Husker faithful. Callahan left that team with nothing.

The top 4 teams in the Big XII all went on the road inside conference this weekend. Each game was decided by halftime.

I wouldn't worry about this week. If they win this coming weekend & Oklahoma loses & LSU wins, & MISSOU is still #2, then I'd be upset...

I don't understand how "Missouri got screwed by the AP Poll". They actually jumped from number 4 to number 3 this week, overtaking a dormant LSU team. If anyone got screwed, it's LSU.

Besides, the USA Today/Coaches Poll is the only one that matters when it comes to the BCS...Mizzou is number 2 in that one.

i explained why mu got screwed. bama just barely squicked by kentucky. plus i thought the ap poll was the all mighty of all polls.
i don't see ou losing this weekend by any means. i'm sure mu will have their hands full but i have faith they'll pull it out. i'm still looking for mu and ou to be 1-2 all the way to the big 12 championship.
