Default "IT" on XM

To those of you who have 'dual citizenship' and own both XM and Sirius, Have any of you been listening to "IT" on XM?

"IT" is basically the same as what "The Monster" used to be, right? I liked how they played every hit progressively through the decades like that.

IT'S a cool idea.

Actually, early word is that they seem to be playing deeper hits (ie, more top 100s, as opposed to top 40s) from each decade, resulting in a more comprehensive show.

Yes, its a great feature...showcasing the DEEP library of hits XM has and plays. Imagine playing 25000 hits in a row- NO REPEATS!! (Repeats_OFF)

Yes, with the 40s thru the 90s represented, thats over 6 decades of songs with over 4000 hits from each, because of expanded play of not only top 40 hits but top 100 too. Not too shabby......

They actually started with Jan. 1935, so the 40's gets 15 years of songs to play.

Too damn bad I have to sleep sometime.

sigh.

I wish Sirius had a dedicated 40's station. The 40's had much more interesting music than just swing and big band.

Now that I've been listening to XM a little, I have to admit that IT rules!

Since Sirius has a larger song database, they should use that to their advantage and come up with something even bigger than IT!

From what I just read on Crutchfield, Siruis has 2 million songs, and XM has 3 million. I think Sirius needs to add more, and play deeper, just a little, not so eclectic as XM though.

If we took the average and say they had 2.5 million songs it would roughly take 2 years of non-stop playing to go through the entire library

Things that make you go Hmmmm (anyone remember that?)
