Default Battery Life?

I don't think the PR was written in ebonix but I didn't see mention of battery life in either PR.

That being said, I think an important point is being missed. The My Sirius feature clearly states that it pulls programming from not one, not two, but 3 favorite user set stations. That says to me that flexibility is a bit more sophisticated in the S50.

Also, did you notice the My Sirius Songs feature? XM lets you tag a song so you can BUY it from Napster or one of the other services later. The S50 lets you push one button and store the content on the unit. No sync'ing, no docking and more importantly, no purchasing to be done.

Whatever price the Nexus comes out at, please feel free to add the Napster to Go service fee to the price from $10-$15 a month for however many months the user keeps the Nexus.

With the price of the S50, you don't have to add on another monthly fee. I think the information provided speaks for itself.

I haven't seen any information that would suggest that the "XM + Napster" service is dependent on Napster To Go. If you have, please provide a link.

Default I'm not going to do it, no sir

I'm not buying another radio until they come out with something that will let me watch TV in my truck. I'm getting sucked in and in can't get out.

I'm almost done paying off my last credit card.

Those Koreans do come up with some cool things. I spent two years there, and since I've been back, I've boughten more then a few Korean things, including my Kia Sportage.

They really need to make one for Sirius. Good thing this is for XM. I'm not buying another XM radio.

Default Napster

From the press release, last bullet point:

• With the Samsung neXus players, XM subscribers can “tag”the songs they hear on XM for purchase through the “XM + Napster”online service. The Samsung neXus players also allow users to create and manage customized playlists, combining both personal digital music files and recorded XM programming.

The Tag feature will only work with the Napster service. Figure $0.99 per song or $14.99 for the To-Go service monthly ...

Yes, there will definitely be a charge per song, but there's no indication that an addition monthly subscription is required.

Here's the original press release about "XM + Napster". A per-song charge is clearly mentioned, but there is no mention of a(n additional) monthly fee.

I really don't see this whole Napster addition being a very big hit whatsoever for XM. BTW, those are some BUTT-UGLY receivers.

I'm hoping this neXus release will get SIRIUS to bring down the price on the S50...competition is usually good for a price drop or two.

Doesn't WOW me, looks good, but I like the S50 much better.

cost will determine which unit is a more popular seller... we will see.
Samsungs current 1g MP3 retails for $129

Best guess is $199 for the Nexus
Which basically will make me an XM subsciber when this is available. Still on the fence

It would be nice if somebody would be halfway considerate and reduce their avatar down to a more appropriate size. I guess the admins here at SBS don't want to upset their Sirius rep.

You are looking at XM because of giant avatars on SBS? Oooook.

KAMA, you do need to shrink your avatar though.

I wouldn't recommend the Roady2. The price is really nice but it's almost impossible to navigate anything other than the 10 presets while driving.

AMEN to that and the display is crap in my opinion, not the mention the limited text info that it shows.

Does the Samsung NeXus have Song and Artist Seek, that can be engaged separately--like the S50 does?

Does the NeXus have voice-assisted navigation--like the S50 does?

The NeXus clearly does not appear to have a color screen.

Judging by everything I've read on both units, the S50 definitely has more features.

And the 360.00 price tag on the S50 is only an MSRP. The online price of the unit will probably be 25 to 30% less than the MSRP.

A price of approximately 270.00 isn't that bad at all.

Does the S50 have song and artist seek? I have asked that question during a chat one night because I don't see it listed, unless I've just not looked in the right place. I was told with the push of a button , you could save a whole song to the built in memory, but no actual artist or song seek. I dont know???
