I have the MyFi to go and use it running in the woods here in New England. I clip the antenna to my ball cap and it's 90% perfect. Sometimes I have to move the antenna from the right side of my head to the left, depending on the direction I'm headed, if I pass through a high hilly area, sometimes I'll have to swith over to the pre recorded music carried on board, no problem though. I love this thing. I dreamed of a device like this years ago, but never though it would become a reality in my lifetime. Running in the woods to XM's X Country channel is a blast !

I recently bought a refurbished Inno from my radio store.com it was 129.00 out the door. I also bought the Belkin antenna/haedphones for 29.99 their wharehouse is in NY so being in NE the ups ground shipping was free and I got it in two days. I am very pleased with XM. My favorites are the rock channels, Fred,Lucy,Ethel, and the Boneyard. This is my second go round with XM and I'm glad I went back. I've had Sirius the whole time and the two services compliment each other perfectly. If their is a merger I would be real disappointed. The Inno referb is great...no problems so far and the firmware is a couple behind the new one. Not sure if I will update...it works fine and from what I've read I'm not missing anything from the updates.

They're okay when it comes to reception with the clip antenna. Without it, it is totally hit or miss, usually miss.

The second generation, like the Inno, is much improved, and I've never had the need to buy the antenna headphones for it.

What firmware do you have? If it's 1.05, I'd say keep it. If it's anything above, you have nothing to lose, and a few bug fixes to gain.

I'll keep an eye on ebay to see if one of these comes up cheap if not I will go with the nexus before the baseball season starts. Thanks for all the input and advice.

It will be a new sub, but I hate the hassle of rebates. If I can get it for $94 with rebates why not just put it on sale for $94 instead of making me go to the ends of the world to get my money back ? I would buy it this week if it $94 and I didn't have to bother with a rebate. You would think these companies would want to sell more product and make it easy for the customer, but we all know thats not the case. Not worth the time it takes to put it together or to get it back.

No rebate silliness for me.

I'm probably going to get a $30 AGT Sportscaster with car kit (but not install it in my car... one satrad is enough for a small area and my Calypso got there first!). I'm not planning to take advantage of the $20 rebate because that requires a prepaid 6-month sub, and I'm too cheap to pay the $78. I'll use an AC-cigarette lighter adapter to power the rig.

Hmmm... looks better than the Sportscaster, and the blue backlight will match my Calypso.

Merci beaucoup.

Default Pro-Sirius Here

You know, its kinda funny.

I'm really anti-XM. Heavily anti-XM. I just don't like what they are doing. I found the music channels to be lacking personality (which was one thing that was always cool about Sirius), and O&A annoyed me.

So anyway, the day of the merger news, I signed up for XM's three-day trial. I mean, I really haven't listened to XM since right after they were launched nationwide (a girl I was dating got a unit for her dad). Anyway, I mainly listen to Octane on Sirius, so I went right to Squizz...

I didn't like it. Yeah, I didn't hear the same band that night at work like I might with Octane, but it just felt like an iPod (like someone else said about XM). I could have hosted Squizz myself, just everynow and then put over that that's what I was doing.

Really just listened to that, and then the next morning, before the conference call, since there was no new Stern (which was a bummer), I tried to listen to O&A, and holy crap, after like 10 minutes they just annoyed me. I didn't know what it was, they just worked on my nerves.

So that was my experience with XM. I didn't listen to it after that. I just couldn't get into it. I mean, I understand some people dig that, but man, Sirius just works on so many levels.

I'm still going to get the XR9... just in a slight liquidity crunch now (damned capital gains last year ate up my withholdings more than I expected).
