Well basically they were added because this is when Sirius does their channel updates. Secondly, the rumor is that the two may be same content but different time schedules to cater to those on the west coast.

I remember not too long ago people complaining about the waste of bandwidth from loops. Well, here ya go... The fact that there is nothing on these channels does not bother me at all. Just let me know when there will be something on there. Howard said earlier this week that he does not want to put anything on until it is ready to go, so there will be stuff on there before he arrives in January but just not yet.

Default From Howard's Website

With the official launch of Douche 100 set to take place later this week, Howard discussed how executives at SIRIUS want him to put programming on the air right away. However, Howard informed them that nothing will be on the channel until he feels comfortable with the product. Howard added that he told the execs that God didn’t create the earth until He was ready, so they should back off. Artie commented that comparing yourself to God at a business meeting is always a great move to make.

Howard mentioned that he is thinking of playing “Imagine” as the first thing heard on Douche 100, followed by rants by comedians like Sam Kinison, Richard Pryor and Lenny Bruce. Howard then stopped himself from talking about his plans anymore because he didn’t want to ruin the surprise. He did admit, though, that he is so excited about his move to satellite that while he showers he actually hears how the stations are going to sound. Howard added that people in the radio industry have totally shifted their focus since his announcement. He pointed out that although some insiders aren’t sure if they should join satellite or be afraid of it, it is, in fact, all they’re talking about.

Not something I would listen to, but if it means bringing more subscribers to Sirius, then cool.

That's the beauty of satellite radio. You can block the channels and NEVER see them again.

Howard is only funny if you don't take things too seriously and can laugh at yourself. On a day-to-day basis you can't beat all the stupid humor that comes out of his mouth. Other comedians need to prepare for months just to do 1 hour of standup. Howard does 4+ hours 5 days a week which I find absolutely amazing.

I couldn't agree more. THe guy is a self-promoting, immature, over-rated joke of a human being.

Oh Boy....we get to hear farts. Puhlease.
