Default DEAD AIR??

All I hear is dead air on both channels. It was scrolling "Farters Coming Soon!" this morning but then it stopped. Let us hear something Howard!

I am very disappointed with these channels for now. I would have thought that we would have at least had a preview loop at the update. They have known about the update on 9/29 for a long time, why not have a loop ready? I expect more from Sirius and Howard because of the amount of money that has been invested in the deal.

i agree with howard not playing anything until he is ready. as for the farting? who cares? if it makes you laugh, then listen, if not then don't. nobody is sticking a needle in your arm

remember, he could have done whatever he wanted. he could have gone to XM (and i remember him saying he would go to whatever satellite provider that didn't hire O&A), or he could have just retired.

i'm waiting for the end of the year. he has said in the past that wants to travel across the county promoting his show on sirius, and not scheduled to go live until 1/9/06 i think. if he can get all of those local news stations broadcasting howard coming into town with his crew, will be huge. bigger than anything in sat radio history, until his first live show. the nfl, martha, eminem, etc. will be nothing close. at least this is what i am hoping for.

i listened to his new streams this morning and heard nothing. imagine the power it takes to get thousands of people to listen to nothing, anticipating the arrival. which is why he is the king of all media.

Goddamn it's like you guys are just complaining for the sake of complaining. The channels don't start until 2006. Who cares if there's nothing on the channels now? Just shut up and go listen to the Sirius Trucking Network or something.

Yeah but what's funny is that despite this morality people would still be upset that SOMEONE ELSE can access something that offends them. I've always found this fascinating. This is in no way a direct slight at the original poster so I don't want to hear it.

Didn't Howard do a lot of talk show appearances when he announced the move to Sirius? Explaining why, etc. Sirius should go to the TV networks and license that. Then run an audio loop of that, with a little bit of new audio from Howard or Bubba explaining the new format, shows, times, etc. Should be no problem with Infinity's contract with Howard to do that.

If they did run a loop, then you'd all complain about the same crap repeating every 90 seconds. There will be something on there when Howard is ready to put it on. BTW, Farters coming next Thursday.
Stay tuned...

Farting is pretty funny, when me and my kids are in the car and
someone rips one after we yell beats or slugs, and hit the person
it's funny as hell!!!!

Then I rip one and lock the windows so they can't
open them, Funny man, just funny, MEMORIES!!!!!

Go YANKEES

Why do you care? Its not like youd listen to the preview loop over and over

Some of you guys are pathetic and are just complaining because you can. If Howard managed to get out of his FM contract and be live on Sirius today, you'd be complaining that you weren't ready to hear him drop the F-bomb until January

I have to agree. I think there'd be more complaints of a loop "taking up bandwidth" than the fact that there's nothing on there now. Patience people, patience....

Yeah, you're exactly right. It always cracks me up that these very people who are supposedly against the Howard type shows and claim to never listen, are always the ones that have complaints that could only be brought up by someone who actually listens to the show.

"I find [insert show here] morally reprehensible." "This type of smut should be taken off the air!" "What about the children...won't someone please think of the children!?"

What makes it so hard for them to change the channel? Don't try to dictate what everyone should or shouldn't see/hear. Don't try to force your religious beliefs or "morality" on me. What makes you the fucking judge, jury, and executioner of everyone? Huh? What makes you so fucking special that everybody should suddenly adhere to your rules? Quit your judging and let people enjoy whatever the hell they want.

Sorry - rant overload.

BTW, farts and fart-related humor are ALWAYS funny. No matter what your age, background or education level…you simply cannot deny the power of a good fart.
