Default Nothing but commercials on Howards show!!!

Thats right, nothing but commercials. For more than 1 hour this morning there was nothing but commercials about Danny Bonaduce's show, The Wrap Show, Bonaduce's Show, Howard News, did I mention Bonaduce's show, then Bubba's show. Oh, then we break for a heineken commercial.

I fear that for the next 5 years, we will get nothing but more and more of Stern just pitching all of his other ventures instead of him focusing on his show.

I feel as if each guest he has on is actually an Interview...next week there will be a P. Diddy Show and a Jenna Jameson show.

I wish he would just do an hour of this "pitching" during another hour, AFTER the Howard Stern Show.

Have you noticed that the show is lasting 5 hours a day? There is a hell of a lot of quality content during that time(Ohhhh Jenna).
I agree he goes too far mentioning the same shit (his other shows) over and over, but I realize it's because I listen to every minute of the show. Some people don't hear all of the show so of course he will mention the other stuff more often.
I DO think it's funny how much he pushes Sirius itself during his show. It seems that he doesn't realize that whoever can hear him already has Sirius. It's called "preaching to the choir".

Did you hear his commercial breaks on FM? They used to run 15-20 minutes sometimes. The commercials on Sirius are not nearly this long. It's only fair to expect them to take breaks to get a drink, use the bathroom, etc. You try sitting in a room for 5 hours just talking, you'll need some time to regroup. I haven't been bothered by the commercials on his Sirius shows so far. It also give me a chance to go to the bathoom or get something to eat or drink and not miss the show...

BUT I will agree... that during the show they spend a little too much time PLUGGING the news, and wrap up, and Bubba, and other content on the station. I don't mind a quick mention of it, but to spend 10 minutes talking about the wrap up show that will start in an hour anyway is kind of pointless. That is wasted air time in my opinion.

So the current load of commericals I can live with, but the constant plugging the other content on the station should be reduced.

Stern did the same thing on old fashion radio. Everyday he'd talk about the E! show a couple times. That guy John Boy would call in everyday and say how many tissues he went through on the previous night's E! show. That guy kinda went away and Bong Hit Bill took that ass kissing job over.

I can't imagine things will be this bad forever. Once everything gets settled, hopefully he'll slowdown on the plugging of everything. I do like to hear what's going to be on the wrapup show and news. Let's me know if I want to listen.

Well since the 2 channels are his channels and are his shows. It makes since to promote your channel and your shows. Now I understand it can be over kill but it is no less then ABC,CBS,NBC, ect. doing the same thing in promoting there shows. It would be one thing if all he had was his show, but 2 channels at 24/7 is a lot of content.

Don't get me wrong, I hate promos as well as the next person. I just know why he does it. Part of the deal.

They spend way too much time at the start of the show talking about Sirius and how great the 'such and such' model' is. I also don't care to hear phone callers who call in to say that they just purchased Sirius or that they have 3 receivers blah blah. I have a 45-60 minute commute and this is all I am hearing right now.

Stopit are you out of your mind?
