Default Fred made me laugh my ass off today...

Ok, something Fred did made me laugh my ass off today. It wasn't anything he said, it was just a few doubled up soundbites. In the early discussion of Artie's B-Day gift to Dana, Fred played the soundbite of the children singing happy birthday, then followed it up with a sound of a girl shrieking. I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF at this, as it was just perfect timing with the discussion going on before. I actually "rewound" it a few times on my S50 to hear it again and laugh some more.

Anyone else have a Fred soundbite just totally crack them the fuck up like that?

Yes, the other day when Gilbert was on the show and Fred kept playing that gay clip that was supposed to be someone 'working out'. It kept cracking Gilbert up everytime he played it. And of course there's always my stand alone favorite when Robin is doing the news and asks rhetorically something like, "Guess what actor is secretly trying to get pregnant" and Fred just plugs it in with 'Baba Booey'. Fucking kills me everytime.

Talking Fred's shennigans are too many to list, but....

A recent favorite of mine was when Howard was talking about Sir Paul's breakup with wife Heather. She claimed Paul forbade her to use a bed pan. In comes Fred with the "boing boing boing" sound.

It still makes me laugh when Fred brings on the Mexican hat dance song (or clucking chickens) within 1/10th of a second anytime a Latino or a Latin country is mentioned. Yes, he's been doing it for years but it still makes me laugh because I'm waiting for it.

Fred is BRILLIANT. How the heck does he (1) think of those sound effects so fast and (2) find/play the sound bites so fast? Does anyone know what his system/method is? Is it PC based? Other?

The sound bite that has Booey saying "Mac Hine" over and over again has been awesome as of late.

Or the indian version of "Up, up and away"" every time there is a middle east/terrorism story going on.

His method is Martian.

Some have surmised that Fred uses the delay to get the synch right, but I've heard the callers and/or guests react to Fred's sounds in real time, so he couldn't be doing that. I go with the Martian method.
