And a prime example of Howard's comment about Tim The BullDog programming to the message boards:

"they'd take my show off the air"

Three things.....

1) Ralph
2) Elliot Offen
3) Beth-O

Even those don't make me change the channel all the time, but they are the most likely things to make me consider it.

.....did I mention Ralph?!

I will listen to the interviews with whores and stuff but I will fast forward through the actual sybian ride. There isn't a general category of stuff I don't listen to, I like about 98% of the shows. I fast forwarded through tenacious D and usually through the Artie/Alice arguements. I'm really getting tired of prank calls. They play like 5 a day now plus the replays.

1- Sybian Rides - I'm gone
2 - John the Stutterer - I know he can't help his speech impediment and all, but it's just too painful for me to listen to. I don't find speech impediments funny.
3 - Anytime Beth O is on; I cannot stand how Howie blows smoke up her skinny little ass. When she's on it always seems so rehearsed or she's trying to save a mauling dog.

I had to turn it this morning when he let Elliot do all his plugs. I can't believe he allows him on the air.

He allows Elliot on the air because they both have a verbal contract for the Football Pick winnings, that's gangsta talk for binding in a court of law, right!?!?!

Doubt it....I've been a long time listener back to terrestrial days and I always changed the station when he was a guest.....and I still do....thank god for Sirius because I will find something to listen to more tolerable than him.

That soundbite makes me cringe but at least it's not him in the studio all day, every day!

1. Debbie Schlussel call-ins.
2. Prolonged screaming.
3. The patched together Bill Clinton, Richard Simmons and George Takai bits.
4. 95% of the Richard and Sal phoney phone calls.
5. Prolonged bits featuring Sal supposedly being fooled or of Sal apologizing or Sal doing just about anything (excepting his Gary Roast).
6. Howard interviewing his protege-for-life, Bob Whats-his-name-Scheindler(?).
7. Commercials

One thing this thread shows is how we all have different taste as to what's funny and what's a "channel changer". Me, (me?) I crack up every time they play the Gilbert laugh. I don't know why Gilbert immitating Dice's "What are you a homo" line has me rolling every time. Just as some people like the Alice/ Artie interchanges, the sybian, etc. and some don't.

With a few exceptions, I think most of us agree that overall nothing compares to the live morning shows (although some have even posted that they prefer MTT). I think if they tried to please everybody, the result would be the same as what's happened to today's FM music radio thanks to douchebag consultants: no risk taking, boring, non-offensive lame pablum for the masses. I sort of feel like Artie last year: I don't mind the lows because the highs are so good.

9 out of 10 or maybe 999 out of 1000 posters, including myself, are hard core Howard Stern fans. Because of that we are dedicated to the show being the best that it can be (which, in my opinion, can't be better than Howard, Artie, Robin, Fred and Garry sitting around bullshitting). That is why we offer criticism of the things that we feel hurt the show. Is it wrong to offer the opinion that fan phoney phone calls and fan song parodies are better than Sal and Richard's work? Is it wrong to offer the opinion that Debbie Shitful bring the show down? Is it wrong to say that when Beth and Howard start in with "Honey this" and "Honey that" the show enters Imus and Deardre territory and the the show grinds to a halt? So what is the point of the "Waaaah" comment that is posted every time the show is criticized?....... that all threads should be limited to praise for the show? (Also, the expression "Waaaa" - as used on the show- is given when someone starts to feeling sorry for him/her/self, not when someone offers a criticism).

I think the Waaaa is appropriate for this type of thread because it is a Poor ME, there's something that I don't like, without taking into account that others do like it, or vice versa just like WayneEdwards said.
