I kind of like the Free Talk station here for afternons and midmornings (the former Howard station, which become talk a long time ago) but the fucking commericals kill it!
When howard was on 97.1 out of LA I used to listen to the station literally all day. Howard starting at 6, the midday show starting at 11 (or so), then Tom Leykis at 3. The commercials used to drive me NUTS on the drive home. Leykis would be rolling near the top of the hour, then he'd take a break, then he would come back for ONE CALL followed by another full length break. It was like clockwork every hour. I'd spend half or more of my commute listening to commercials. I am so spoiled with Sirius in my car now. I could never go back. As much as I enjoyed Leykis in the afternoons I haven't tuned in since last December - theres too much good stuff happening on my Sirius tuner.

I really wish they would at LEAST play 2 shows on MTT. The shows are way too short now and they end up replaying it 10 times a day. it would be awesome for it to extend into the weekend as well. I hope they have something planned for next thurs and friday instead of just sirius replays.

BTW today's MTT was 2 hours and 39 minutes without commercials.

Yup, gotta love those Christmas classics ... every year I get sentimental when I hear the first bars (on a Casio, no less) of this holiday favorite:

"Oh ho ho, this is Santa Clause saying I won't be around this year...I'm a bit sick!"

Santa Clause has got the AIDS this year
And he won't be 'round to spread his Christmas cheer
The reindeer all look blue
They know what he's going through
Santa Clause has got the AIDS this year

He won't be yelling out "ho ho ho ho"
But he'll be screaming out "no no no no!"
He's lying sick in bed
Call the doctor there instead
Santa Clause has got the AIDS this year

Each season he is full of pep and vim
But now the AIDS have got the best of him

etc. etc.

I liked how he was kinda making fun of Lenny Kravitz.
