Default Howard calls in to Barbara Walter's new show...

Didn't catch it all, but the best part about the whole thing was after he hung up it resulted in Barbara Walters and her next guest Martha Stewart discussing vibrators. Classic!

Did Howard mention the phone screw up, was it Gary's fault or Barbara's fault?OR...in other words was it Baba Booey or Baba Wawa?

Howard's call was the only interesting part of the whole show, which pretty much reinforces Howard's point he's always making that TV stars like Oprah and such do not know how to do good radio.

It's funny but what can Sirius really do...I think if I were in their position, I would experiment and see if there are stars in other genres who can translate to radio. Don't both Bam and Tony Hawk have shows on Sirius? I think it's just a matter of trying new things. There are other radio shows I like, but I don't think the local guys in Detroit are going to convince anyone to pick up a Sirius. The big draw to sattelite radio in general is mostly music, followed by Stern (which is the clincher, since both have music and some might prefer XM, who has more stations even though a few include commericals) and if you don't like Stern, what else would convice you to come to Sirius? The sports is a bit even, with XM having an advantage as far as I'm concerned with baseball. Sirius has football and now Nascar, which for some reason is a big draw (when I told my mom that she said "On radio?"...I agree!). So why not try out Barbra Walters. From what I'm hearing, she is not going to have any kind of call in show, even once a week. SIrius just plays her classic interviews, which might translate well to radio. Hell, I would like to hear a few of those.

I beg to differ. The NFL is the most popular sport today so, at least for me, that holds a definite advantage over XM sports. And Howard being here is another draw as well.....

NFL is the most popular sport, but it doesn't translate as well over radio (does it?). The real question is, who has curling? Siruis does have a lot of Canadain channels, eh?

Barbara Walter's Biggest Bloopers-Link The video of Barbara and Martha is there... I'm on a slow connection and ABC streaming was too much for me, but I do remember a mention of vibrators...

Here are both of the Barbara/Howard conversations (11/15 & 11/17/06) joined into a single 24k, 7.0mb, 40 min. file...
