"would be valid if sirius did not offer TONS of stellar content on every other channel."

In other words, the arguement is valid. Let's face it, other than Stern and music, Sirius still doesn't have much going on, at least during Howard's shift. I still think Sirius is trying to find it's way and hopefully when they do, they will offer some shows and programming that will hold people's attention once Stern leaves.

I think they'll play the last KROCK show with an extensive non censored rally to go along as its companion piece to commemorate the anniversary of that day, I don't know about replaying the first Sirius show, they should be on the air that day talking about it instead. They will be off at Christmas, so you can expect lots of those last days at KROCK. Actually, the way the MT replays are going I wouldn't be surprised if they play a show from August of 1988 during Christmas. I think they should get these MT shows within the same month, or at least try to.

Problem is, with Howard off so many mornings, there's not a lot of other programming you need Sirius for in the morning. (For example, I can hear Mike and Mike on regular FM, I'm sure). They have no "plan B" - and don't tell me old radio shows are it, because the whole concept and execution of MTT sucks. Howard either needs to get there in the mornings 5 days a week, or let Bubba at least have the shift - and then Howard can do occasional shows in the afternoons when he feels like it. I am a big, longtime fan of Sirius and Howard, but these last few months have soured me a bit on the whole thing.

I agree with you 100%, and so do lots of others. But, let's face it, Howard is not going to do 5 shows a week anymore. He's clearly no longer interested in putting much effort into his show when he is there. The "occasional show when he feels like it" format is the one he follows for his morning show.

I can understand the grief if if someone subscribed to Sirius just for Howard but for those subscribers that had Sirius BEFORE Howard what's the problem? There are a few more channels to listen to.

Not much effort? I am not sure what channel you have been listening to but when his current shows run from 6am to 11am or later and MTT runs from 6am to 8:30am how is this less effort.
