I've heard it both ways.

Stick, stay, freeze, etc.

I thought that you're not supposed to even talk to the dealers, correct? That's it's all done by hand signals. That's all I've ever seen, done, known.

I was plating blackjack for the first time and I couldn't remember if I should hit or stay and told the dealer to hit me, she asked me if I was sure I wanted to do that. Alot of dealers are chatty and even will give you tips. I've never heard stick, just stay.

Ha!

The thing Howard does that bugs me the most is he always says "the book says..."
What is this book he refers to?
Has he memorized every possible scenario in this book he speaks of?
"If the dealer shows 5, and you have 15, the book says..."

Ah, his nerdiness really shines sometimes.

It's a very small chart, some places will even let you bring the card to the table.

Stay.

It is always stay. I mostly play black jack and if there are people at the table that don't know what they are doing it can drive good players away. Can't tell you how many fights have I seen in AC after some guy hit on the wrong card and messed up the next guy. You could get shot for that kind of shit.
