I agree. I understand where he was coming from. He knows it wasn't about him, but why does he get different treatment than the other guests? I've been in that situation where if I had just spoken up, everything would be fine but in trying to be polite, I get lesser service. Besides, He's right, this is more of a media event for Ed. it wasn't the funeral or a private service for those who were close.

I listened to it again and yes, it was pretty fucking funny (funny the first time). It can't honestly be that upset, though.

It was easily the best "Back from the break" shows that I've ever heard....those always bore the hell out of me!

And in other breaking news, a blind squirrel was seen carrying a nut. However, the squirrel dropped it in shame when it realized Imus had many more nuts than him.

That's sad! I think Howard hit it on the head. O&A, the little I heard from them, didn't get the fact that the Lettermen audience was laughing at Richards because both Lettermen and Seinfeld sent him out there without explaining what was going on. O&A are useless!

I thought Howard was really funny on this one.. But other than Gail whatshername it seemed the rest pretty much were CBS'ers who one would assume would be up front.

It's OK if Packie found O&A's take of the Richards situation funnier. Most of his posts prove he is not a troll. At least not yet................

Give Packie another chance! Give Packie another chance!

He gets more than one chance from me. He is, after all, the man who labeled Anthony "The FIRST of a dying breed." Funniest photo caption ever!!

No, there's no chance I will become one of them, one of the trolls. I thought Howard was dishevelled, sort of all over the place with too many other clips and when he was on target it felt like he was scrutinizing the situation more than making with the funny. Artie kind of went for the laughs a little bit, but Howard was sort of being paternal, telling us kids where Michael went wrong.

The Anthony bit was kind of funny because he was doing a pretty good Kramer impersonation while making jokes and dissecting the situation.

I don't have Sirius in the car, so that's the twenty or so minutes I caught of their show. For what it's worth I think Anthony can be funny, Jim Norton is funny and Opie is a waste. But I don't have a lot of time invested into their show, that's just from a sampling over a long period of time of hardly listening. Given the opportunity I would rather listen to Adam's show.

Howard's show is still THE show.

This rant was a great example of why we love Howard, IMO. He knew it wasn't cool to complain and it was shallow, but when he's on the mic, he says what that voice in his head is thinking and that's what makes him real. Sure, he could have played it cool and not even mentioned the seating, etc. That's what every other celeb might do, but Howard will give us his true inner feelings, even if it makes him look like a tool.

And the way his voice was cracking when he screamed "Fucking Gail Fucking King..." was raw emotion, real emotion.
