Default Six Feet Under Music

A funny segment, but I found it hard to believe that Howard had never in his life heard any "cookie monster" music, especially with Richard working along side him for the past few years. It was wierd listening to them react to this music as if it hasn't existed before today. Laibach has been around since the late 70's and their album cover of the Beatles "Let It Be" sold relatively well, and that was from 1988. The dude who had his balls waxed last month so Howard would play his music played that kind of music, hell Howard played it on air.

Awful, awful, awful music! The segment was funny enough but I can't stomach that kind of music at all!

I love Six Feet Under. Have 3 albums ripped on my laptop listening as I type. Wait, make that 4.

I'm sure Howard has heard music like that before. I just don't think they've ever sat through that much of it. It was hilarious to hear those covers...holy shit!

Howard has never heard this style of music before because it isn't played on Dancing With The Stars, or any other gay TV shows he watches.

Yeah, I know. It's just that it's so fucking old and they acted as if it was a brand new type of music. I was having a major disconnect from reality during that segment.

You mean there are people who actually like that crap? Maybe I'm old, but why would you ever listen to that when you can just hear the original AC/DC songs where it's actual singing. And they were saying that at least the music (guitars) was good, but I thought that sucked too.

You know, I usually like cover songs. Not bands that only do cover songs, but, like when Soundgarden did Sabbath's "Into the Void" or Devo's "Girl You Want". These songs by Six Feet Under did nothing but make me laugh. The Cookie Monster comparo actually put me over the top! I am now going to have to dare one of my co-workers who is in a death metal band to do a cover of the "C is for Cookie" song!

I love that kind of music. Dont like six feet under in particular. Those covers were hilarious. I would like it if Richard took the music and put the original lyrics back over it. That would rock!

Ignoring the vocals, are you saying the Six Feet Under music is better than the original AC/DC music? I say it's not even close.

I think Six Feet Under's covers are a unique spin on what covers normally are. Hearing a death metal version of rock standards is pretty cool.

There is a band called "Between The Buried And Me" that does a death metal version of Metallica's "Blackened" which sounds pretty cool since it is played in a lower key...though the vocals are terribly garbled.

Not better just different. I love those covers because they have a much deeper fidelity and are a little faster and more harsh.
