Default The push for "Beer League" on DVD

I'm sorry but I'm so bored and just can't caught finish this paper...So I'll start another thread. Sorry if I'm getting annonying.

Just wondering what people are thinking about "Beer League" on DVD. I will probably buy it right away and take a chance. I buy a whole lot of DVDs and have a whole lot of stuff I know I'll never watch again, so I'll take a chance. I know Artie isn't great in movies and nor am I the biggest fan of this genre (I liked "Old School" but am not wild about "Caddyshack", if you would put it somwhere in between those two). How about anyone else...buy it sight unseen? Saw it and will buy it? Rent?

Oh no. You lose 2 points for that comment. Old School is TRASH compared to Caddyshack.

Will Ferrell is 3rd rate compared to Dangerfield. ONLY HAS WORK thanks to the loss of Phil Hartman.

Dangerfield is great....In "Back To School", which blows both out of the water. I was thinking about "Old School" since it seems like "Beer League". Just never got into "Caddyshack"...I'm not that white!

Phil Hartman, a genius for sure, but how do you relate Ferrel to Hartman. Hartman left before he died because he had that sitcom. Was Ferrel added the year Hartman left?

Vinny, I have already ordered it from Amazon. so I will get it right away. Love Artie, and I think this time I will enjoy one of his movies. If it sucks? Well, I will survive without the $20.

I would order it through amazon but am really cheap and hoping to get it for a lower price somewhere...I know Amazon lowers prices if they go down before you order it or whatever but that never works for me!

It's allover the torent sites, I've seen it, it's good, I laughed quite a few times. I'll still buy the DVD when it comes out. I was really pumped when I watched it, it's a funny movie, I was not let down. It won't go down as a classic comedy by any means, but for a low budget movie, it was good.

It's on my NetFlix queue, but i will probably buy it when it is released just to help show the "Stern Effect". I bought all 3 books on their release date and saw Private Parts on its opening weekend, etc.

By all threee books are you conting "Quivers: A Life". How great would it have been if she made some Lifetime movie or some shit (I liked the book but it wasn't excatly full of laughs). Just to see Robin acting would be great. Wish I could see "Deadly Web"!

Save your money. Couple of laughs, but otherwise it's painful to watch. Artie is much funnier on the radio than on tv.

Did you hear her say this morning that Dancing With the Stars gave her a call? That would kick ass, and I hate that show. They need to do a New York Edition...

Is there an audio track where Artie explains each of the shots and backstage minutia during the filming?

When i moved back home for a while, my parents would watch it (my mom, mostly) and yeah, it was awful! I watched it for the first or second episode and then I was like WTF, I'm going to rent a movie! But if Robin was there....Oh, I'd buy a TIVO for my pitiful TV and it's barely there cable. It sucks that she announced it so late into the show since it seemed like there wasn't much going on and that would have been a great topic.
