You must be the only one who likes MTT - the entire concept sucks balls. Give us a live show on Friday.

I love the show, or at least the idea of running the old shows. I dislike intensely the idea that the shows are heavily edited. They should also run more than ONE show a day.

As in "The Friday Show"....who needs clips from TV apperances and what happeend on Sirius yesterday? The Friday Show could've been good with the tapes but that's "Best Of" and comparing "Best Of" to whole shows....MTT blows it away! I love listening to full old shows. Even things like listening to them talk about what's going on in the news is fun and you got love those moments where there are harbingers....they spent twenty mintues talking about Jackie and his contract.

And again, I think with MTT there will never, ever be another live Friday show. Sad but true. But what's worse is that they get lazy on Thursday....come on, guys! You're only working a four day week so put some effort into the last day!

I like running one whole show a day so people who missed it can catch up. Are the shows heavily edited? I kind of don't doubt that since some end up really short! I've also noticed little or no references to Allison, Howard's wife. I'll be pissed if we don't hear at least one Allison phone call in five years of reruns! I really liked her appearances. Let's not rewrite history, Howie!

Ever since Howard's divorce they haven't played any old shows with alison calling in & I think it was deliberate there was a good show where they ask questions to all the spouses & their relationship with people on the show & talk about it on air haven't hear it in a long time even his kids are left off there's another show where Girillo has a spelling contest against Howard's daughter Debra.

I love hearing the old shows from time to time. MTT is something that can't and shouldn't be avoided. He has all of that tape and is clearly putting it to good use. I wouldn't mind a Friday Show thrown in the mix once in awhile though.

Like once a month to do an overall review of the month's shows plus MTT Gary has a lot behind the scenes input.

That's it exactly. Hell, you heard the other day how Siobahn whined incessantly to Howard that some listener will feel compelled to break its arm because of what Howard and Robin said. Howard calmly explained that if they said such a thing he would edit that out of the show. Take that explanation and apply it to Howard's ex-wife, any negative mention of Leslie Moonves and Joel Hollander, his take on the early stages of the second Iraq war and 'bang!...you've got a Master Tape Theater. I guess the one positive is that those 2005(August---November)shows will be about an hour long.

No, they should do it this way...Mastertape ends at around Nine to Nine-thirty...just have Jon and Gary do a Wrap Up Show built around the Master Tape show. Maybe if the show involved Richard Simmons or Belzer or Schimmel, they could get them on the phone or have them in studio as a bonus. Once they've gone over the old ground they can round out the show until Noon with Richardandsal phone calls.

I swear master tape theatre is only about 2 hours long, cuz it seems every time I tune into it i hear the same thing. and at least twice in the last 3 weeks, i have turned on MTT in the afternoon and both h100 and h101 are basically at the same point in MTT. I dont know how it happens but h100 all of a sudden is only about 30 seconds ahead of h101.

I dont understand why they don't do both the friday show and MTT. like I said in another post, the friday show is about 3 hours and MTT is about 2 hours or so, so they could put them both on and make a whole show. Thats just my opinion.

but i guess howard would rather put on MTT so ralph can continue not working and get paid.

MTT was about 3:30 to 3:45 today (ended between 9:30 and 9:45 EST). The vegas shows however, were right around 3 hours which caused H101 and H100 to just about sync up around 6am PST.
