Default Boycott Artie

Don't want to deny a man his living, but if you agree that Artie should remain on the radio, we must stop buying his DVDs, attending his movies, and going to his comedy shows!

Nothing he has done on the big or small screen is half as funny as his radio career, so why support it?

Plus he will live longer if he stays with his current schedule. If he goes back to the hollywood life, it will be a quick decline into drinking, druging, whoring, and cop punching.

Crazy ass mofo! His DVD has been out forever and I'm sure sold most of it's copies the first few months it came out like most releases (although it's highly possible that it did sell little by little). As for the movie, we all know what happened there. If people are fans of his other endevours, let them do what they want. Cause Artie is going to do what Artie is going to do (I know I don't have that right...how does it go?). I never bought his comedy DVD but probably at least see it one day and plan to snatch up the movie when it comes out. I doubt that will have any impact on him leaving since of course a lot of his sucess on those projects has to do the free promotion that is Stern (and to a degree, Sirius itself). If Artie leaves, it will be the same reason why Howard leaves...he hates working!

Artie's got one foot out the door on Thursday's anyway - all he seems to care about is where he is going for his three day weekend. It's us fans that are building him up, and he seems like he could care less about us when it comes to working a full week at Sirius.

Well, that's your opinion. I personally think he's done some funny things outside of the show. Of course, I'd definitely prefer the Howard Stern Artie over the other if it ever came down to that.

Exactly. And this "tough love" approach of not buying his DVDs or any outside material will achieve absolutely nothing. He obviously doesn't give a shit about his health or what others think. And for Christ's sake, the man's hero is John fucking Belushi...who's in a picture hanging above his bed! I'd be willing to bet that when he's on one of his drug binges that picture probably talks to him and says "Be like me Artie...be like me!". Then a Chris Farley hallucination appears but immediately falls on a coffee table and smashes it knocking him unconscious before he can give Artie any suicidal advice.

And regarding this whole FOX deal: the chances of him getting that sitcom (or whatever) greenlighted are only outweighed by FOX actually airing it. And if it does get a television airing the chances of it actually going past two episodes is about as high as it getting greenlighted! FOX is run by monkeys and notorious for canceling [great] shows after they show even a hint of what they consider bad ratings.

*Note* You could also recycle your comment by taking out Artie's name and inserting Howard or Robin's. They all seem to care the same amount - very little.

I do agree with you that Artie is radio gold, and he is one of the best things that ever happened to the Stern Show while his stand-up and movies all suck ass. BTW, did you see the Before & After Artie pics on HowardStern.com?

Finally, something that actually outweighs Artie.

Although we enjoy Rescue Me, we must band together and refuse to watch. Don't support Artie in his HS Show-wrecking behavior!!!

Artie dared to hold Howard to his word and take a day to do some outside work and everyone wants to destroy him? Please, Howard doesn't have to get his way in everything. It's good for him to experience a little independence from someone. This morning Howard again reminded everyone that they would have no careers without him and that they will have no careers when he quits. If Artie gives up his outside stuff he will be joining that club.

The biggest point is that Artie could arrange it so he's taping in the afternoon after the radio, or even do it on Friday...only makes sense
