boo hoo, poor howard. waaaaah, there's a smear campaign against me. uhhhhh, not really. maybe if you put in five days a week and stopped with al the ridiculous vacation time, the subs would really be way up. um yeah, great idea, go on all these talk shows to promote sirius and let them hear re-runs. great marketing plan. stop the whining and put on a kick ass show. what a baby.

Actually, the NAB is pretty much all about smear.

Think there might be a slight chance of Howard staying for a few days next week, maybe starting his vacation Friday?

Cool

If you remember, they spent most of their Xmas vacation getting ready for the start of the Sirius launch. Let them have a nice vacation holiday this year.
Besides, even if there were ALL new shows,.. most of you people would just bitch about the content anyway.

Happy Holidays!!

Any of you remember last year when they all came in, unannounced, to do a studio check?? Gave me chills.

I didn'r hear it until they replayed it one day several months later. even tho it was nothing, I still found it interesting...

As for CCF, the smearing has nothing to do with his schedule, it's been going on for years. people will search a story to find the negative thing they can say about him. Kinda like this thread... or should i say this forum lately...

I'm not sure if I heard that live or not. Might have been a replay but I did love that! It was very cool!

You can still be a fan of the show, and not blindly put up with a subpar product. I agree with a lot of what he said, and I'm as big a Stern fan as there is. But, you have to call him on it when he is not being honest with his fans, and only giving us this lazy schedule.

Again with this "blindly following" BS... just because someone enjoys the show the way it is, and doesn't mind listening to MTT on Fridays, doesn't mean they are "blindly following" anything... it's just a difference of opinion!

Of course I would prefer a live show on Fridays, but if I don't like the MTT airing that week, I change the channel! And I don't feel cheated or ripped off in any way. When I heard that Stern was making the move to Sirius, I immediately went out and subscribed, not looking forward to waiting almost a year until his start date... but what I found out is that there is SO much to listen to on Sirius, that if Stern for some reason decided not to make the jump, it would still be worth the 12.99 per month.

Plus... I urge you to tune into "Free FM" and see just how "subpar" radio can be. In my opinion, the Stern show is a million times better than anything found on "regular" radio, or anywhere else... Fridays off and all.

Well Howard's biggest competition is of course himself. He makes such an incredible show that when he slips, we get made. When he takes time off, it kind of ruins our day (it "bums us out"...Gary just used the expression...Oy!).
