Default why is howard so outraged about what letterman makes??

I mean he makes about 3 times as much as lettermans 35 million per year. I mean plus add in howard tv and then the 250 mil stock payout, and he's way ahead of that.

Dave works 4 hours a week and has Friday's off. Howard works 20 hours a week and has Friday's off. Can't you see why he's so pissed?

Dave only works 4 hours a week? I don't see how that is possible. Since he shoots 2 shows on Thursday he has to work at least 5 hours. But I really doubt Dave only works 5 hours. I am sure he does alot more than just show up at 5 til, walk out on stage, tape the show, and leave. And isn't the show an hour and a half? I do sense your sarcasm BTW! I am watching right now, not only am I glad to see Howars, I can't wait to see Gwen, I hope she wears something skimpy, she is so freaking hot. I hope she gained a few pounds though, she's been getting too thin the past couple years, I thought she was hotter when she was a little more filled out back in the No Doubt days.

Actually you're right, I tripped on the numbers, it's not 4 hours a week, it is in fact 5 hours a week.

If you're talking about NBC David, yeah, he used to be part of the pre-recorded bits, he would go into bowling alleys and interview people, he would go into wig shops and talk to the vendors, he would even go into the hospital and give blood while on camera, joking with the 'common folk'. He put a lotta work into those shows....and it showed.

These days he sits at his desk while the camera men or the cue card guy go on the street or the camera man goes into the shop outside to see what wackiness is happening at the deli.

Dave makes inside jokes about 'rehearsal' time being missed whenever one of the bits falls flat. His lack of prep has been talked about for years now, especially after his heart attack.

There was some sarcasm, perhaps not as much as you might think.

I guess I don't really watch the show much anymore. Since I have a trillion sattelite channels I usually watch something else. I ocasionally stop by for a few minutes passing by.It is a TV gig though and obviously TV gigs will always pay alot more than radio when you're the star. Howard shouldn't be pissed, Dave has put in the hard work and long hours too!

Who knows if Howard is actually mad or not, it could be radio schtickoma. But the glaring difference between the Howard of the mid-90's to the Howard of today is that the mid-90's guy behind the KROCK mic would tear down the work ethic of Johnny Carson's 4-day working week schedule. The guy behind the Sirius mic of today bemoans anyone, let alone David Letterman for having a cushier working schedule than the one he has.

And yes...to anyone who's getting their undies in a bend, I still do love the show.
