Anyone else bored to tears with the first 30 minutes of the late show? I thought the opening monologue and the chalupa skit were flat-out boring and unfunny. I thought Howard did a pretty good job(wished he would have plugged Sirius as a service more). Then, as soon as I heard the yodeling coming from Gwen, CLICK went the remote...........

Now that was a Letterman appearance. Howard gets 3 segments not 7 minutes, no flop sweat to be found, play's the "white Oprah" and in my humble opinion the Siobahn story alone beats "knocking the balls out of jugglers hands, uh huh huh". Didn't see the end, but I imagine Dave didn't offer Howard "all the balls he needs", did he?

I loved the appearance. I can't believe Dave allowed Howard to say some things. Like the whole meats and vegetables and 3rd base explanation. But wow. Howard just takes over.

Howard's pretty good at describing 3rd base in a censored medium. All those years of practice I guess.

I'm not sure showing a drunk guy is going to make people flock to Howard TV. Should have stuck to the tried and true T&A approach IMO.

That's just Dave's way of letting Howard know he's still alive. Jeesh, if Letterman did that more often with celebrities on his show it would be more watchable.

Not to mention all the commercials. I usually dont watch the 'free' channels but I couldn't believe the amount of commercials during the 30 mins of Daves show that I watched. Howard should have plugged the commercial free music and his show with the 6 minutes per hour.

Yeah, I can't believe how packed the show was with commericals, either but that is typical for Lettermen. The worse is the tease where a little bumper with Lettermen's logo comes up for a second and they go right back in commericals.
