This sucks. It's pathetic how I've become so dependent upon listening to the show. I'll miss them.............sigh.

Default What's ironic is that

Howard is going around to Letterman, Conan, and Kimmel promoting the hell out of Sirius and guess what? He's not going to be on for another 3 weeks. Can you imagine if you went out and bought Sirius all fired up to hear the show and he's not even there for the first 3 weeks you have it?

He needs to re-think that schedule. I can see 2 weeks, but 3 weeks is ridiculous.

So? If they didn't have it all year, then they won't mind hearing the replays.

This complaining about Howard's vacation got old months ago...

It does suck, but they are going to do a Best of type deal and there are always the wondeful tapes. It's better to get the new subscribers on board now and bitching, the more that bitch now, the better. Maybe in a few years, the bitching will dry up once people realize that it doesn't get them anywhere. It's gonna be a long break. Ugh.....

Now he should come back not long after the New Years, I agree! It's not that long a wait but it is a pretty long wait, I agreee. Think about it this way. the "Best Of 2006" is all new content for new listeners, too. Now if it was the middle of summer and Howard did an explosive promotion and then up and went on a vacation right after, that's bullshit!

Im only listening to the show via my mp3 player in my car. I just finished Mondays show today! That way I can stretch 'fresh' shows well into next week. So I'll be 2 weeks without new shows.

Exactly! The promotion is aimed at getting new subscribers. That target audience has not heard the show all year... thus, the Best of 2006 will be all new shows for them.

I know if I was a new subscriber, I would love that! It's a chance to catch up on what they've missed the past year.

For those of us who have been around since Howard's beginning at Sirius and listen every day... sure, it kind of sucks, but I think it will be cool to hear some of the best bits of the past year.

I'm good for a bitch fest but you can't expect Howard to come back right after Christmas...not even the shit DJs do that!

BTW, is it clear that it's Best of bits or full shows. I assume it will be full shows which may or may not be good. Frankly, judging from what they are picking on the commericals, dumb ass stunts were Sal and Richard are naked and screaming plus all the Sybain rides, I'm not impressed! We've all pointed out our favorite bits here and those are included but a lot of people point out Takeai as a winner, so hopefully they include some good full shows with him. Not from this week cause that is annonying as all fuck!

I hate to agree with Vinny on anything, but this proves even the biggest "bitchers" (meant only with deep affection, I swear Vinny ) say this complaint is over the top. Besides, anyone who has listened to Howard in the last 10 years knows he takes Hanukka through New Years off and the ones who are new to him can listen to Best of 2006.

Howard will promote every other show but won't mention that MTT will be on friday or best of 2006 will be on while he's on vacation he did this at KRock didn't want to let people know so they would keep listening but Sirius screen tells you what's on no surprise makes no sense.
