I hope you have stock in or are on the XM payroll, buddy.

Either way, I really can't understand why you would waste your time coming to a Sirius message board to promote XM. We've all got Sirius! What exactly do you hope to accomplish with your promotion... aside from annoying us?

...or maybe THAT'S what you're trying to accomplish.

Problem is, people that sign up with Sirius for Howard - and then realize that he takes tons of vacation time, never works a full week when he is there, never tells his audience when he's going to actually be on or not, are not going to stick around long when they hear the music content is better at XM. They might give XM a try, and then figure it's not worth the trouble of Sirius for part-time Howard content. It hurts to admit it, especially since we all have an investment in Sirius (car radios, home equipment, etc.) but if this becomes a trend, and XM grows larger than Sirius - this can't be good for the network. Howard, you better pay attention to all these upset fans in 2007.

The wonderful thing about Sirius is that there are other programs to listen to, when Howard is on vacation. It's a win win situation. Here's a thought, Howard can afford to take a lot of time off. Nobody will try to dethrone him. If o&a takes too much time off, who will really notice?

Um, XM is already larger than Sirius and always has been, however Sirius has been rapidly closing the gap since Howard signed on.

Lets get this straight, the music on XM is NOT better than sirius! The reason I added sirius was because of the music. XM tries to play all this obscure(sp?) crap that no one has heard of, and they repeat it all the time. At least sirius repeats songs people have actually heard of. Everyone i know who has XM has either switched to sirius or wants to because of the music, and none of them listen to O&A.
Speaking of O&A, i saw their commercial on orbitcast.com and what idiots!!!
They have norton come out and say "Hey, you guys are on satellite, you can say what you want." Little note guys, you are not exclusive to satellite. You are on FM and you are regulated by the FCC.

These are some leaps but if all this happens hopefully it will inspire Howard to at least star working Fridays or at least not take vacations like in April or whatever. It seems like Howard was a lot more jazzed about Siruis when he first started....He wasn't taking every Friday off, for one thing. The fact is that we can't force Howrd to be interested. We'll honestly have to wait and here. All we can do know is just listen to Howard and enjoy....or don't. Listend to those assholes today and I'm so happy that for Chirstmas, I'm going to finally put my Sirius in my car!

BTW, I just guessed that XM might have better music but the talk looks awful. I was interested in the African American talk channel but that doesn't even look all that interesting. I really like the music on Sirius but I don't think I would mind at least sampling the music on XM since the reviews seem pretty good for it. One thing is clear....Sirius is not selling on music alone, even though they are commerical free. They are being sold on talk (Howard mostly) and to a lesser extent, sports (Nascar and football).

Just so you know, that commercial was done strictly for the XM portion of the show. You know, the part that's not on FM or regulated by the FCC.

Just so YOU know. O&A suck balls. Back in 2004, I actually was influenced by the talk on the Stern Newsgroup so I paid the extra two bucks to listen to those clowns. In the two months that I listened, I might have chuckled once or twice. The show is boring. Jimmy isn't as funny as people say and neither is Anthony who sounds an afwul lot like Butthead. I initially listened to Howard on KRock in the morning and the O&A replays in the afternoon, but one week into it, I had to switch it from XM to regular radio.

They might have a rivalry with Howard which you guys get off on, but they will never be as big or as talented.

Could you clear up for us how that worked...the extra two dollars? Howard talked a lot about how they would charge an extra dollar...Really? On top of the price of XM, you had to pay extra to hear them....so now you can hear them for free! Wow!
