Default Best of 2006

I kind of disappointed with this best of if it's just repeats of whole shows i was expecting best of segments from 2006. I just know they'll repeat shows that have already been previous repeated for vacations during the year & why start at Feb 1 would Jan 9 been a better day to start.

Tim's a werido and wants to only replay 1/9/06 every year on that date....

I don't know how I feel yet about repeating old shows (by the time I get home, I probably won't be listening at all). BTW, I just started listening now and I have an idea why this might've been picked out! God damn, it's a love fest with everyone kissing Howard's ass over giving Robin that car. Better than that, though, Robin is answering some interesting questions. This is what the wrap up show should always be!

I am sure this has already been discussed, but after the Bonaduce interview, sirius should have this guy doing shows on fridays and all Howards vacation days(except Christmas and New years) This could groom him into full time. He is one entertaining child star! A show that is caller oriented could be very interesting.

Again, if this idea has already been discussed numerous times, i apologize.

This idea has never been discussed because I honestly can't think of anybody that could replace Howard even on vacations. It's kind of stupid to except anyone to a live show on holidays. Come on, now! And if that happened, I couldn't throw my Sirius out the window fast enough! Sorry but Howard can't have his show replaced by anybody other than himself. Come on...Let's be Sirius here.

BTW, I' wasn't all that dissapointed that they were replaying full shows but I don't like that they will be replaying them all fucking day! Was this show that good that they feel the need to rehas the entire thing? Clearly somebody up there isn't clear on what the fans want....Remember when we all posted our favorite three moments of the year....Nothing from this show came up!

I'm not sure I agree with you on this one, Vinny...I often tune out if it's a rerun I heard already, but I might stay tuned if it's a substitute regardless that it won't be the same or as good as a live show with Stern there. The question is who is capable? I do agree that Bonaduce has been great on the air...but more as a guest than a host. I thought his own show was okay but not as good as when someone else was at the controls such as when he appears as a guest with Howard or on Danny's own TV show. Where ever Bonaduce winds up, whether as a fill-in, Howard 101 or even terrestrial radio, I think spending more time picking a sidekick who can help keep the show on track and someone who has a real chemistry with Danny would be better than just agreeing to any female co-host at random like he did on his H101 try-out. After all, that's one of the secrets to Howard's success.

Maybe I'm strange but I would much rather listen to the Stern show than any poor replacement. Nobody comes close to doing what Howard does and trying to find another show to replace his....no. I think if you are going to have Howard 100, it should soley be devoted to the Stern show and the Wrap Up show. You want to experiment, that's Howard 100! Before replacing Howard's show, let's work on weekend content and/or an overnight show.

I agree noobdy could replace Howard, but would you rather listen to the same Stern shows over and over and over again....vacation after vacation after vacation........ or hear someone new, someone willing to put some effort into their show?

If it's a good show like that one that had last week for MTT, I could listen to it all damn day! This was kind of a crap show today that they put on. I mean, for me, a lot of the MTT's are new and great but I agree that the Sirius replays....They gotta bring their A game and maybe clips would be a better idea.

I completely understand them doing a best of 2006 instead of the 23,000 hours.

I think that instead of the best of 2006 they should have just played all 178 shows from this year back to back to back to back to back.......

nice... get 23,000 hours of tape, and play the best of 2006. no wonder the subs are at a stalemate.

I might be one of only a small handful of people in here who love Mastertape, I don't think the powers that be are handling the process of playing the tapes correctly, but I'm just a subscriber, I'm no Tim Sabean. There's no need to go into the 'third channel dedicated to the old stuff', its a nowhere path. But with every other vacation other than the Christmas vacation they should be plugging away at the old stuff. AND...they should be playing more than one a day. They could easily do two a day and repeat the two shows back to back all day. Hell, they could probably fit three a day, but that's just a pipe dream.

Like I said, I understand doing the best of the year at this time of year, but I think it would've been a gas for new subscribers to get a crash course by playing every show over the last year.

I like the Best of 06, but then, perhaps because I didn't subscribe until the middle of the year, so I'm anticipating I won't have heard most of them. Whereas, I seem to have always heard the MTTs.

Gotta love Robin's comment to the phone sex girl:
"You get $100 for 90 minutes? How do you live on that?"

Robin is so delightfully out of touch with the average person.
