I don't know, just my gut feeling but I would be shocked if he did a show next week.

Unless his New Year's Resolution is to do more shows, don't expect him back until the 8th.

My gut agrees with yours, I don't see a new show til Jan 8th. But what is this shit about the top ten countdown of Howard on the 9th of January? Does that mean he won't be back until the 16th? Since MLK day is the 15th. I wish I had MLK day off.

I was wondering about that as well. If they're not back by the 9th that's going to be a bit annoying.

Here's what I'm thinking...Why even bother coming back on the 8th if they have the 9th off? The 9th I'm 90% sure will basically be repeating the bits that made the compiled list of shows we've been listening to. Not sure how they'll pull it off but I assume it will be something like the Top ten bits show and it will run depending on the length of said bit. I wouldn't doubt they replay entire shows! It'll be a total waste becuase it's not really what the fans would say where the Top moments. Shock the balls again..They might as well say "Sleep in if you can on the 9th". At this rate, if he doesn't come back on the 2nd, might as well come back on the fucking 16th, which figures in MLK day. BTW, I guess he did used to take it off but did he take it off last year...then again, that was back when Howard gave a shit about the show. What happened this year? He was so jazzed about the show that he didn't always take Fridays off when he could have and even called in and made the first Friday show very memorable. Has Hamptons Fever really killed his work ethic that quickly?

So many people have lost faith in Howard's work ethic - I wonder if he knows, or cares? Every message board about Howard makes mention of this, and yet he continues to ignore his fans and work less and less.

I believe he knows, but his schedule and attitude answers the question if he cares, doesn't it?

Sirius probably cares, though. That's why Howard was on all the late night talk shows prior to his 4th quarter extended vacation. According to stock reports, and other message boards on this very sight, it appears the "Revolution to Desperation" tour didn't exactly drive up the subscription rates all that much. This time last year, sub rates were strong - no doubt in anticipation of a new, exiting, improved show.....which never arrived.

I wouldn't exactly call 5 million strong, desparation. People make the mistake of comparing sub rates to last year at this time and you will never see growth like that again. It will be slow and steady from here. The show is 10 times better.

5 Million is not desperation, but a stock price of 3.54 to end up 2006 while XM is riding at 14.54 is not something you'll hear Howard talk about anytime soon.

Of all the topics yet to be discussed from the long vacation break, the future of Sirius is now one of the topics I look forward to hearing about most.

Did they hit the 6 million mark? Will that even matter?

Sirius will hit 15 to 20 million subscribers and maybe more by 2010. People look for overnight results. Sometimes there is no real corelation to stock price and actual performance. Sirius is a good example of that. Happy New Year!

You're right, the five million strong (for now) isn't deperation, by itself. But take the subscription number and compare it to what the company is shelling out, and you have the result - a stock decline of well over 50% since this time last year. Read some of the posts in the other sections of this forum. One said that recently Sirius has already diluted their stock. Look that term up, or if you have a broker, ask them about it. A confident company on the rise doesn't normally dilute their stock unless it's acquiring another company, in most cases. Unless they picked up XM at a fire sale, this is not positive news for stockholders.

However, I do agree with you that there will never be growth like last year's at this time.

That's true, but not in this case. I believe the stock price is dropping at just about the same rate as Howard's work ethic is....rapidly. Drive safely!

Excatly. The faithful Stern fans have already come. Now the interest in Sirius has to be about something else...That's the reason why most Sirius commerials never verbally mention Howard and stress the music, which is what they should continue to do. Howard's fans know where he is and he probably didn't have to come on Letterman and tell people what is going on...And if he did, shock the balls doesn't sell me a subscription. Artie's herion revealation does....Crazy Alice's remergence does...Robin's "34" and meat and vegatables does....But what do I know...I just listen!
