Well Robin seemed surprised, too. So I don't think the 2nd was set in stone but damn, was it a great show! Proves they don't need stunts and guests, just a whole lot to talk about and boy did they have a lot to say. Unfronately, the retirement talk came up but notice how even Howard said at one point, Robin can move in and they'll do the show everyday like nothing changed. Howard would miss the show if he didn't have it...I hope he and the crew really consider going out in a big way with another five year contract....One can only hope, though!

Well, just look at it this way. Some correctly predicted a return this week (The Butler), some gave them a chance to return this week by mentioning every year except last year, and the rest sided with Goreds and the other O&A trolls.

Howard is never going to retire. He can get up early every morning and get paid millions to bullshit with his friends or he can sleep late every morning and get paid nothing to bullshit with his friends. Which would you do?

As Gary said to Jackie at one of the roasts: Now that you're well rested what the fuck were you thinking (leaving the show)?

"Proves they don't need stunts and guests, just a whole lot to talk about and boy did they have a lot to say."

I absolutely agree with this--most of the best show moments over the years have come from Howard & crew shooting the shit and letting things develop--NOT from bits, phony phone calls, or Sybian rides. Today's show really had a "vintage" feel to it.
