Today's show was great with all the Tampa recapping but the most interesting thing to me was to a few phone calls.

An early one had some guy callling asking Howard if he would work on Friday since he took MOnday off...nope! Has Howard said they have ease into the next five years...So work ethic is dead!

Then later into the show a guy was going on and on about yesterday's MTT...Never mentioned it was a repeat but was just saying how great it was and thanks for the hardwork of putting it together! To me, this is proof that Howard or somebody is screening an/or creating calls! After all the complaints here, that was bullshit!

There was a debate about this a few years ago when the show hit the skids, with Howard trying to read emails form Greg Fitzsimmons (or some other comic) and make them sound natural. It was very distrubing and that wasn't the only problem...it was just a few years or so where the show was piss poor and maybe it was because of editing but I doubt it. It was because of editing of the truth, for one. People who would write emails talked about how they were edited or sarcasitic remarks taken out of context to sound serious. If Howard goes back to that, I cancel my subscription. I like the rest of the programming on Sirius, but not enough to pay $13 for it. I certainly wouldn't invest in in a Stellitto for a white washed Stern and some good radio. No worth it.

Ease into it? Ease into what, not working? Thanks, Howard. In response, the fans will ease into not listening, which will lead into the ease of not renewing. Well, the smart fans, anyway.

Us dumb ones are going to stick it while he eases into the next 5 years. His show is still better than anything else out there, even if it's three days a week. Since you are are such smart fan, please cancel your subscription as soon as possible or atleast do not renew it, you will not be missed ( atleast be me, and I'm sure there are a few others).

I think he is easing into retirement....2 3-day work weeks in three weeks! That's fucked up!

You're right, the show is only on live an average of three days a week. You are finally catching on.

Don't worry. The people who know better will continue to voice their displeasure on behalf of those who don't realize they are being shortchanged.

I heard that! Amazing - so, we went from "a few Fridays off" to Howard basically getting offended when someone mentioned him working a Friday. This was the first definitive word from him on this - you could tell by his comment that you will never hear a live Friday show again. Very sad.

I was surprised someone slipped in to actually ask him that - I'll bet the caller said he was going to ask Howard something else, no way he would have gotten on the air otherwise.

And, WTF - how could someone actually blow smoke up Howard's ass about the replay of a replay that aired yesterday? Stuff like that just lets him know how low he can lower the standards for his channels, and how little effort he has to put in, and still think he is keeping fans happy. What a joke.
