Default Today's MTT has been played before!

I'm hearing some of today's MTT and they are repeating an episode they have aired already on Sirius.

If Howard is going to take the day off on MLK day (when Bubba who just got married is working), at least do us the courtesy of a MTT show that hasn't recently aired.

I am referring to the March 17th 1988 show.

seriously, they talk about 56,000 hours of tape and play the same MTT they played a few weeks ago?

This is horse shit, get it together Howard.

I was thinking the same thing when I heard it this morning. Whoever is doing the programming of these channels is frigging useless. On top of this, the Bubba replays were screwed up all weekend.

I think I would rather hear Riley Martin, back to back all day long, than "MTT".

I don't remember hearing this MTT. I'm enjoying it. Kinnison was a great guest. Riley's show is a good novelty but doesn't compare to this.

Just a minute there, Mr. Overachiever! Lets see YOU work 12 grueling hours a week and then find the time to put on fresh reruns.

Mastertape Theatre - March 17, 1988. 01/15/07. 6:00am
Howard and the guys were on vacation today in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. They had a replay of a Mastertape Theatre show playing this morning instead... that's right, a REPLAY of a Mastertape Theatre show. This show was just played on November 3, 2006. Twenty something years of classic Howard Stern Shows to run and they replay this one? Wow! What the hell is going on? Why a replay of a replay of a replay of a 19 year old show? Why not a replay of a recent show... or something else from the 20-some years of classic shows? This might be the first time I'm actually upset about the programming over there. Holy shit! That's a first... Anyway, here's my write up of the March 17, 1988 show which I just wrote up on November 3rd.

Give Howard a break, he is practically killing himself to give us great radio, and when he decides to take a little time off people start crying.

Yeah, but it's a suck a great episode, hearing Sam rally against those Hollywood fucks. How cool would it have been if he was in movies? I'm probably one of the few people that actually liked that awful sitcom he was on!

As great as this episode is and I am listening to it again because I'm hearing stuff I missed that day of the replay, it's the height of laziness to replay an MTT. They do go to get it together or get out....Sad thing is, Howard and the gang are still the best. It's so sad to hear his love for radio back then in 1988....hell, even early 2006 he had a love for radio...what happened in the past few months?

You know how Crazy Alice says "It must be somehting bad when a lawyer calls..." Well it's really bad when Marksfriggin gets pisssed, too!

I don't mind if Howard and the gang take MLK day off, but I have to agree with the others that re-running a Master Tape Theatre that already aired in November is pretty crazy.

It's a great show with Sam Kinison drunk in the studio, but there are 20+ years of other great shows they could have played that haven't already aired on MTT.

Kind of disappointing.

It is easily one of the best shows I've ever heard because of the interaction between Sam and Howard, but do a marathon of the best MTT's or something some weekend....It's a holiday...we should have a new MTT!

It was unreal to hear Sam rattle off those titles of bad movies with comics. I started doing a search on IMDB to look up the ones I didn't recognize. I always found it funny that Sam was criticizing Bobcat yet never mentioned that awful horse movie he was in...used tobe on TV all the time and was called "Hot To Trot". Unfornately, it was released after this apperance and possibly after the trailer!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0095326/

Check it out. Sam also probably died before the release of....(shutters)...."Shakes the Clown". Poor Julie Brown. I always liked her but it all went downhill from here...and "Earth Girls are Easy" isn't excatly something to be proud of!

They advertised 23,000 hours of tape as a selling point. It's obvious we aren't going to get anywhere near that. Isn't that fraud?

Maybe the tapes were stored in the damp basement for too long.

When Howard made the announcement that he was coming over to Sirius, he also stated that he was going to have THREE channels.

People say believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.
