Default Howard fires Penny Crone and George Flowers

It's in today's Daily News. George had it coming, but poor Penny must be in tears.....

Penny Crone wasn't surprising at all. She brings nothing to the show other than her contrived melt downs.

Over the summer George stopped doing the instudio update...he seemed to sour on some of the content in the show...there was one episode where George thought there was some racisim involved. Gary used to say George would stand outside his office and make dissaproving comments about the show

First of all, the news was a bad idea. Now that there is no common enemy other than XM, which is not that exciting to report on until the 2 companies merge.

Howard brought these before serious reporters to come in and report on Elliot Offen and poop. They did it and now they have damaged their careers.

I find it odd that the same company that just paid out 83 million in bonuses also has to cut the budget and let go of two $60K/year reporters because of their dumb idea of having a news department in the first place.

I hope they got a good severence...they'll need it!

Flowers does voice over work so he is not hurting for work. Penny on the other hand will be blowing cops in no time.

I am confused. I thought Sirius gave Stern stock options as a bonus that would currently be valued at 83 million is cashed in. If that is the case, then there was not one dollar of money paid to Stern from the Sirius check book.

It is amazing how the spin comes out to make it appear that Sirius paid Stern this money when in reality, it cost nothing to Sirius to do this. To Stern, it is a huge payday, but that is a different story.
