Hey Socal Dan...
Glad you're with the Dog now! A friend of mine got the Jensen deal a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier.

Stick around and let us know how you like it.

No problem, if you're being honest (seems like you are)...I'll go back and delete my post regarding your affiliation with that site.

Thanks!

Yes you are fine. You will receive the Audiovox kit as listed.

I woulds really like to take advantage of this offer, but I got one catch, I just got a panasonic head unit for my car that is sirius ready, so I want to use that and just get the tuner instead of using the FM modulater. How would i go about doing that?

If your Panasonic headunit has AUX inputs you could use the RCA outs on the Audiovox tuner. This leaves you still having to control the tuner via the external Audiovox controller though.

If you want to control the tuner via your Panasonic headunit, then you would need a Panasonic tuner to match. You may be better off picking one up at a local retailer and taking advantage of the $100 mail-in rebate.

ok you guys have me extremly interested in this i am from vwvortex and there was a link to this postiong. i signed up on the board and have been checkingout your site. I am goingto use the double din monsoon system in my 03 gti and i would really not like to use rf for obvious deterioration of sound. can I order a blitzsafe plug or any converter to convert my changer in controls to directly input this module.
what is the time frame for shipping
does this unit come witha remote if not where are most people mounting hte lcd so that they can easily reach it. is there ANY cost for this other then the service. are we paying for the unit at $100 and then getting the $100 back via rebate or is this offer strictly free no cost out the door.

Yep, a Blitzsafe or PIE adapter will work great.

Most orders will ship mid-next week. They are processed as they are received.

No other costs besides the $12.95 monthly service fee.

You pay nothing upfront and there are no rebates. The hardware is free out the door.

Where are you mounting your display on your GTi? I've got a Jetta w/the single DIN, and don't really have a clue where I'm going to put it. BTW I'm also a member of vortex: bawlsyTDi

You'll have to order your adapter from a third party reseller. Our friends at XMFanStore.com have a great assortment of adapters for your factory radio.

That's a good spot! I was thinking of the plastic piece that cover's the sunroof motor. If not there, perhaps in the armrest or down by the "ashtray".
