That's a good spot! I was thinking of the plastic piece that cover's the sunroof motor. If not there, perhaps in the armrest or down by the "ashtray".
you could mount it on one of the blower vents. then again, you've got a new jetta, so you wouldn't be able to close it afterward, would you.

So let's say I sign up and they mail it out to me. I don't get charged unless I activate, correct? So if I never activate I don't get a bill?

The unit is activated prior to shipping. Remember this deal does require a one year committment, which can be billed monthly, quarterly or yearly. You are getting FREE equipment after all. Even if they didn't activate it, you have 30 days to activate it or they will then charge your credit card for full years sub. I think that is how it goes, Jeff can correct me if I am wrong.

Um, to quote TJ:

Ok but i'm still unclear. On the form to fill out it says not to provide the last four digits of my card...so how are they going to bill me without the four digits - without my entire card number?

Once you submit the form you will be given the email address of the Sirius rep administering the program. You will send him the last four digits to complete your order.

There is no middle man. The form simply emails your info directly to John the Sirius Rep. He will process your order and mail the kit to you.

If this or any of my previous comments/questions had been touched on previously in this thread, please understand that 14 pages of reading is too much for me on a sunday night

But anyway...so if John is just going to give me a number to call anyway in order for me to give him the last four digits, why can I not just call him to begin with? There is a middle man. It is this form.

Nope, the form and the email with the last four digits is it. John will not require you to call anyone else. He'll piece the two emails together and ship your order.

Keep in mind that we have hundreds of people ordering this. By automating it via the form John is able to handle the demand much better.

Why are you bullshitting me? First of all, I'm not submitting any personal information over an unsecured connection, which is EXACTLY what that form and an email are. Either get yourself an actual secure form with which to submit all this info, or provide the telephone number. The only time I provide my personal and financial information is when it's over a secure connection or over the phone.

I just came across the phone number 800 4669742 at clubxm for this friends and family promotion.

I will be calling tomorrow and enquiring. Shame on you for not giving me the phone number when I asked for it.

I will be letting whomever I speak with tomorrow know how unhelpful you were when it came to provided direct phone access to a Sirius representative regarding this deal. Since Sirius has a lot to do with this, and has chosen to make this happen through you, they are responsible.

Expecting people to submit personal and financial information over unsecure means is simply moronic.

Take a cyber crimes class and you'll see what i'm talking about. And I'm sorry but simply leaving off the last four digits is not exactly "security." I've seen instances where identities have been stolen when less information was available to the perp.

i guess i'm back with sirius, so thanks to siriusbackstage.com for makin me aware of and hooking me up with this deal.

I am going to submit all info minus my credit card information. Once I recieve the email response from this sirius rep, I will call him up and give him the card number. I'm hoping that will be sufficient.
