NHL All-Star Game to Air On Sirius


NEW YORK, Feb. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (Nasdaq: SIRI - News), known for delivering the very best in commercial-free music and premium sports programming to cars and homes across the country, announced today that is has become a sponsor of the National Hockey League All-Star Weekend, taking place February 6-8, 2004 in St. Paul, MN, and was named "Official Satellite Radio Provider of the NHL All-Star Weekend."

The SIRIUS brand will be visible by way of dasherboards, on-camera positions and via All-Star Weekend site materials. Also, NHL Live!, the call-in talk show produced by the NHL and heard every weekday afternoon on SIRIUS, will conduct remote broadcasts throughout the weekend. The busy slate of activities culminates in the NHL All-Star game at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 8. SIRIUS will carry the game live from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Mary Pat Ryan, Executive Vice President of Marketing, SIRIUS, said, "We at SIRIUS see this sponsorship as an opportunity to remind hockey fans everywhere of our commitment to major league sports, and specifically the NHL."

SIRIUS is the Official Satellite Radio Provider of the National Hockey League. Each week during the hockey season, SIRIUS broadcasts as many as 40 hockey games each week nationwide at no additional charge above its standard monthly fee. great move sirius! hopefully this is the start of sirius's campaign to get there name out there.
