I'm 35+ and I don't feel left out. Funk is okay but I don't see a huge need for a funk only channel.

The Spectrum is supposed to be AAA rock, but they've screwed with the format recently. It's not nearly as good as it used to be.

I hope that the new coffee house channel can cover folk well - otherwise, all Sirius has done is plug one gaping hole in the lineup (New Age) and open another.

Good to see New Age back though.

Let the bitching and moaning commence!

The Spectrum is mostly rock. Disorder is an ecelectic mix of rock as well. Super Shuffle will incorporate the top hits from all genres, including country, pop, rock and others.

Why not a Funk only channel? How many Rock channels are there about 10-15 channels, theres an Elvis only channel,in my opion he aint all that,How many dance channels that pretty much play the same house music. So why not a Funk channel.

Thanks to you virus, this has been talked to death already.

If you want funk, enjoy your CDs or add an XM sub.

My 2 pennies:
Maybe "super shuffle" can take some of the "now" from the Pulse, and the Pulse can be more "The 90's"...I hope.

Folktown Gone...big disappointment to me. I got Sirius hoping for some Alt Country like Xcountry on the other guys, but Sirius got rid of "The Border" and made it "Outlaw" and it isn't even close to the same. SO I spent alot of time at Folktown, which was OK. I hope Coffe/Latte whatever can pick up some of the void of Folktown. But we still need some Alt Country- Cross Canadian Ragweed, Robert Earl Keen, Reckless Kelly, etc.

Well, it seems that many SBS'ers are Dance/Rap/Mix people, and I can see their frustration. I am starting to feel like Sirius is "watering down" everything to make every channel appeal to everyone. I'll be honest, there are many stations I have never even turned to, just because I am not interested. That is the way it should be. Give me lots of channels and choices and then let me decide what I want to listen to. And DO NOT CENSOR IT. If I am offended by it I will not listen to it. I am an adult, and believe it or not I can make those kind of decisions on my own Thank You Sirius.

I get really frustrated with stations like The Spectrum, The Pulse, and other "mix"/multiple platform, multiple time frame stations, because I find myself having to "flip" around to find something I like, because they are playing something that doesn't fit the profile of the station, or since the profile of the station is SO BROAD they can't help but stray. I mean if we can have "Elvis Radio", which I have listened to, why can't we have a Funk station, or a classic R&B or a staion like Wax. The thing I loved about Satellite Radio in General, was the huge amount of stations you could have, yet it seems like there is sooo much cross-over on Sirius, which is not a bad thing if you are covering all genres well, which in my humble/honest opinion Sirius doesn't.

All in all, I do like change, change is good. I can't wait to try out all the new stuff when the upgrade takes place.
Oh, and in case you were wondering SIRUIS is still THE BEST!

You must have just joined, this was a topic of dicussion BEFORE I became an SBS member and FYI I am not the only member that feels this way.
Like I said there are 10-15 rock stations why not 1 for funk.I`m sure you`re happy, you have all the rock stations you want.

Default Don't Take Remix!

I'm a glad to a music programmer (djzack67) agrees that taking remix out is a bad move! Boombox does not warrant a full 24/7 format. It's not fair that we've been ignored and alienated. Everyone knows that dance fans didn't want this channel and anyone can figure out that it doesn't get ANYWHERE NEAR the listeners as Remix. Dumb, dumb move. It's like a radio company taking flipping the format on their highest rated mainstream format and leaving the niche ones alone...makes no sense sirius!

LASIRIUSFAN has a good idea, put a Chill specialty show on Spa 73. XM does something very similar with their new age channel. We don't need Spa 73 AND Chill taking up 2 channels. After all, when sirius took out soundscapes they said Chill would replace it. Why not do the inverse of this now...take out Chill and add Spa?

Remix624eva I'm feeling you! My #1 channel FOREVER!!!!!!!!

I have a feeling it will be really diluted - a few folk cuts and lots of accoustic rock.

LOVE THE CHANGES!! Especially:

Super Shuffle (Admittedly, I have listened to terrestrial radio to stations with the Jack/shuffle format).

Spa73 - I think the name is GREAT - Creating a 'spa' atmosphere at home or in the car - so long as I don't doze off at the wheel!! I've missed this station ever since I jumped from XM. It was great for "couple time."

Coffee House will be good as long as it's not TOO eclectic. I enjoy hearing a familiar song at least every other song.

Revolution is gonna be great. I've been really impressed as to the quality of Rock music coming out of the CCM arena.

STERN - Heaven (or maybe Hell) only knows what we'll hear here!! I'd love to see Stern steal some talent from Terrestrial radio: Don & Mike, Loveline, etc... Glad to see Sirius Central er... Sirius STARS right next door.

Love to see what comes to Sirius Advice, (Come on Clark Howard!) Christian Talk, Martha...

I'll miss Wax (some was a mixed bag). THANK YOU for not AXing Chill!! BBC1 has taken over my Dance station listening.

Thanks for AXing The Weather Channels!

Wisdom is changing their name. It wasn't Sirius' idea. Steve Case is taking over the channel - which is GREAT. Right now, the concept of Spiritual / New Age talk is great - but the quality of programming has been so-so.

Lime connotes a "lite" green, as Kettler puts it, befitting a hipper sensibility the brand aspires to in hopes of deflating stereotypes associated with such new-age totems as granola or healing crystals.

"What would be best for us is to take a more unexpected approach to the category, something with a sense of humor," Kettler said. "The category has been so serious. We're a media brand, we want to appeal on emotional level."
