I just saw the other day where Arbitron is going to start including ratings for satellite radio in their reports (both XM and Sirius). Not sure how much either will show up, but maybe that will help tell them what people are really listening to. I think Sirius and XM should cut a deal with Arbitron that exclusively deals with satellite listeners, so they can truly measure what people are listening to and have real data on which to create and eliminate channels.

FYI, the channel lineup PDF is down to around 1M... I guess someone decided to fix the problem because there was no way it should have been 14M. And the channel numbers are now lined up correctly.

I'd love 100% music channels (or close to it), but I know that's not realistic.

What a bunch of jerks. I can't believe they failed to give us a movie soundtracks channel again. That would keep me away from XM for good.

Yes, XM does have a movie soundtrack channel. I too was hoping Sirius would add one.

Right-on, Gumby! Well, keep the News channels actually, but yeah for the "Entertainment" category. I never listen to anything there. Wipe out the "Entertainment" category and then give me back my niche music channels.

Six months after I got Sirius, they deleted most of their best music channels and replaced them with the worst (Sept 29, '05). Hense I got XM on Oct 21st and doubt I'll be renewing my Sirius. I can't support a service that mimics commercial-FM.

I guess, according to you, that anyone who disagrees with you or has different musical tastes is a whiner? My feeling is that since we are paying for this service, and many of us are locked into a long term contract and/or have invested in equipment that can only be used with this service, we have a legit complaint when our favorite channels are removed from the service.

Just because you have no interest in that channel doesn't make us whiners because we do.
