It's funny--I've had Sirius since Dec of 2003, and every single lineup change has deleted one of my favorite channels. This time they rip out Remix so now we're down to essentially 2 dance channels. Great--they're adding Christian Rock... can't wait. Can't get that on FM anywhere can you? Oh well except for the 5 Christian stations plus a Jack FM in every market. Sirius wants so badly to replace FM they are trying hard to mimic it exactly.

On the flip side I'm pretty happy they're finally re-adding New Age and coffee house will be okay--but why not delete Chill or Boombox instead of Remix!?!?

Swing Street is mostly instrumental big-band music, Standard Time is mostly vocals.

I am out of town until Saturday Night and I am on a dial up connection which sucks, but I am pleased with the changes and really don't have any complaints.

Wow. I am surprised that there are not more people upset that wax is going. What a shame. That was the best rap channel IMO. And now rap fans are reduced to 3 stations??? Weak!

The coffee house sounds promising. I have been looking/waiting for a good dinner music station, this may be the one.

The Suffle sounds very interesting if they don't muck it up with DJ's and station ID's every song.

Christian rock/talk... *bites tongue*

I am actually sad to see all 4 channels go actually.

Sirius needs to find someone else to name their channels. Lime?! spa73?! Thats just silly.

Oh well, in the long run we will just have to wait and see.

Losing Remix sucks. That was by far the best dance channel on Sirius. Area 63 would be the best, but is way too repetitive and needs a deeper playlist. I hope they take this opportunity to beef up the other dance channels as a result - get more shows and more songs. If that happened, I won't be too disappointed.

Lime is really Wisdom just renamed as is the actual video channel of Wisdom which is on Dish changing it's name to Lime.

Spa73- I imagine is channel 73 and New Age indicates relaxation like a Spa- (Just a hunch on this one)

Yeah, I hate having to listen to you guys' traffic report too

But yeah, that will be a nice change.

As for the new channels, I'll give Shuffle a shot, nothing else really interests me, and I wish we got another left wing channel to replace AAR. Oh well.

Default New Channels

The new channel line-up shows promise...however. There's no African-American Talk. Sirius has women talk, Hispanic talk, Korean talk, but no Black Talk. XM has it. Why not Sirius?

Also, no funk channel.

Too bad the big band channel is leaving. It was really unique. At least replace it with spanish jazz.

The Air America channel should have been turn into the Pacifica Channel.

There should also be a place for Sporting News Radio.

Actually Sirius has several conservative talk channels...ABC News and Talk...the talk is mostly from the right. I believe the talk shows on the Court TV channel come from the RadioAmerica a conservative network.

I don't see why a deal cna't be done to put Pacifica Radio...America's first progressive broadcast...on the old Air America channel.

Addition of Super Shuffle, Revolution: Fine ... probably won't listen, so whatever.
Addition of coffee house, spa73 (New Age): YAWN.

Loss of Swing Street: Don't really care, but I was hoping that Sirius would add a "lounge" music station. Standard Time is OK, but sometimes the selections sound like they belong on Movin' Easy. I was hoping for a new channel in addition to Standard Time like XM's online channel On the Rocks. And, I hate to say it, but Frank's Place on XM is better than Standard Time.

But, most importantly, I am WICKED %^#*ED OFF about the lack of a replacement for Air America Radio. I know, I know, AAR left Sirius, blah, blah. But, Sirius knew about the departure for months and loyal 144 listeners have been promised a second left-wing talk station. Conservatives have Patriot and Right, and progressives only have Left (and Left isn't that good anyway). Hey Sirius - thanks for the blatantly lying to me and then stabbing me in the back!!

I am in a bit of lather. I better go cool off. Spa73 anyone?

Glad to see them adding back a New Age Channel. This was a huge hole in the lineup, no sure about the name but it's back so who cares what they call it.

I think that Super Shuffle (SIRIUS Super Mix), and the coffee house (Acoustic Coffee House Music) are moves in the right direction.

I am happy to see them add Revolution.

Really want to see who they will have on SIRIUS Advice (Call-in Advice Talk) and Christian Talk. Maybe Bruce Williams? Would also love to have Loveline.

Not sure what the renamed channels will be, is it more than a name change? Perhaps Soul Town will play some funk for AZ Joe. The Globe is a better name for world music. Not sure what Sirius Stars means.

None of the channels we are losing are channels that I listen to much, so I am happy with the changes.
