Wow an Oprah Channel...I might have to think about switching to XM.

Good for several reasons...

My wife watches lifetime nearly exclusively...I tease her that it's Lifetime "television for lesbians" (seems like every movie has an abusive man)

Mel said he wanted Oprah. And this creates a platform. The PR says they will have talk shows...who knows what that means? Now if they could only get general hospital or days of our lives...

Women spend money. It's a whole lot easier to get women to spend it when it's something that appeals to them.

My wife calls Lifetime the "Man Haters" channel.

This is a good move.

I completely agree. The addition of these woman targeted channels including Cosmo is done in part to attracting advertisers who are targeting women.

Also, I they are trying to make it more attractive to women, like soccer moms and the like, who are in the car schlepping the kids from point A to B.

Hey, these channels sounds like a great way to stimulate the female demographics of different age groups...

I'm just wondering if there'll be any hot chicks talking dirty on them.

They better not take any more Music channels off the line up for this talk crap,I got Sat Radio for the NON Censered Music, and the different types of Music,That's why I got rid of XM,because they got rid of XMLM,so they just better keep the music channel line up the way it is,of course a Progressive Rock,,Metal channel would be Awsome.

Default Womens channels

This has got to be the dumbest move for sirius! I cant break my girlfriends arm to get Sirius ,I said I'd buy her the equipment ,if that dont budge her what will?$49 radio ,free month ,ah technology is not for women Period they are happy with their cassettes and their FM.I dont see that many women on the backstage so whats these channels for again?I think its a waste of bandwidth and you can take your maxim channel too, sirius.Like we need more talk channels....like we need a hole in the head.Bring back the Vortex and lets keep swing street and remix.3 channels that they should have kept. And oh yes I called and complained to sirius about these channel changes.Change is not good this month.
