Default XM will get Oprah

Her and MArtha are competing against each other. If Oprah was on Sirius Martha would be pushing aside. I know that has to be in the contract somewhere

*Obligatory Chad Rant*

So now we might be getting queen Oprah, which probably means she would get her own "O" channel. Hell, while we're at it, let's add "Prevention Radio", "Good Housekeeping Radio", "Shape Radio", "Home and Garden Radio", "Playgirl Radio", "Working Mother Radio", "Essence Radio", "Ladies' Home Journal Radio", "Self Radio", "Women's Day Radio", "Jane Radio", "Redbook Radio", "Lucky Radio", "Venus Radio", "Disgruntled Housewife Radio", "Cheating Housewives Radio", "Soapboxgirls Radio", "Ladyfire Radio", "I Am Women Hear Me Roar Radio", "Ms. Magazine Radio", "BeautyLink Radio", "Rightgrrl Radio", "Women Today Radio", "Chatelaine Radio", "International Woman Radio", "Daisy Radio", "Myria Radio", "Concerning Women Radio", "Latino Woman Radio", "Awakened Woman Radio", "SpiritLed Woman Radio", "Feminism Toady Radio", "CoverGirl Radio" "Men Suck Radio", "Feminista! Radio", "Men Are Pigs Radio", "Lifetime Radio", "Oxygen Radio", "Makeup Radio", "PunkPrincess Radio", "Happygrrls Radio", "Grrl Rock Radio", "Bitch Radio", "That Time of the Month Radio", "Always Radio", "Brazen Hussies Radio", "Bust Radio", "Hip Mama Radio", "Seventeen Radio", "Teenage Mother Radio", "CosmoGirl Radio", "Teen Radio", "Elle Radio", "Girl Zone Radio", "Teen Vogue Radio", "Rag Radio", "Work at Home Moms Radio", "Revlon Radio", "Sports Illustrated for Women Radio", "Fit Pregnancy Radio", "Sassy Radio", "Men are Dogs Radio", "Tissue Radio", "Let's Talk About Our Feelings Radio", "Barefoot & Pregnant Radio", "Britney Radio", "Redneck Woman Radio", and give them all their own damn channels!!!

End Rant.

Come on guys, you all can't wait to here all the advice and conversations about what turns women on and what they like. Admit it. I will be listening, lol.

Chad, you have turned into quite the drama queen these days.

I think we all know how you feel by now. Sirius isn't going to change the programming changes no matter what you do or how much you rant. There history has proven that over the last 3 years. Some agree with you and some do not. I personally think these moves have been good for the long term of SIRIUS. None of us on this forum can change it and many wouldn't even if they could so there you have it.

ROTFLOL, some of those women topics can be very interesting, but of course these tough guys can't let anyone KNOW they may listen sometimes. What about their self image? I think Sirius targeting women is SMART!

You may be on to something there. I just realized Cosmo is the mag that alway stands out on the newstand because of the major cleavage it sports on the cover. It could be like Maxim Radio...only good! I'll give it a listen.

Then I guess you can call me Whitney Houston. The pre-Bobby Brown Whitney - before she became a coke sniffing crazy lunatic.

Well DAB, it's not easy fighting the good fight. Between the censorship issues, deletion of good channels, DJs talking over the music, increased commercials, etc. someone has to stand up to these injustices. My momma always taught me to never give up, and I intend to make her proud.

Cosmo is a very useful magazine:

Bird cage floor liner
Starting fires in fireplace
Swatting disobedient dogs
Propping doors open

And many more!

See. That wasn't so hard a bunch of tough guys to discover their masculinity and admit they really like the idea of Cosmo on Sirius. It wouldn't surprize me if I didn't recognize some voices on the call-in portions, lol.

Love her or hate her, Oprah would be HUGE for Sirius. Her viewers are like cult members--they'll do whatever she says. Just look at her book club--books that nobody was reading shot to the top of the NY Times Bestseller list just because Oprah selected them for her club. She is coveted by advertisers because they know how loyal her viewers are. Oprah's endorsement would bring more female subscribers to Sirius than Martha and Cosmo combined.
