Wow, I wonder what Howard thinks about Queen O possibly joining SIRIUS? It's no secret he's not a fan...especially since the FCC completely overlooked the Oprah teen-sex episode while continuing to go after Howard's show.

There are two big fish left to sign, Oprah and Rush. For Sirius or XM to sign either to an exclusive deal is huge.

Cosmo Radio will be Maxim for women. Period. (Remember, Maxim is basically Cosmo for Men; that's basically what it was pitched to advertisers as when it launched).

Sirius has the heavy male content because, historically, men (and generally younger men at that) are the early adopters of technology. The few demographic surveys I've seen indicate that satrad has its greatest market penetration in the male, at least some college, 22-35 demo. Up until now, that's been the demo that Sirius and XM court. It's unlikely that, beyond more live sports deals, more content oriented towards the male demos will be coming to Sirius... quite the opposite, I'd say: current male content will be excised to make bandwidth room (unless the revenue numbers grow to the point that a Sirius II service could be launched...).

Cosmo could be the biggest revenue generator for Sirius (yes, bigger than Stern). To date, nobody in radio has been able to do talk that delivers mostly women under 40 (even better, affluent women under 40) [morning shows on Hot AC stations excepted]. There are technical reasons for this (AM versus FM and the differing values of stations there). If Cosmo is even remotely as good as Maxim Radio (and people are listening to that...), Sirius will be able to sell ads like you wouldn't believe.
