Dang I must be alone on this one.

For once I switched off Hair Nation and found hours of listening time to the E Street Radio ch 10. I grew up listening to Bruce and the band and enjoy what Sirius is doing. GREAT channel.

Give me a pool table, tons of cigarette smoke over head with a dim light, plenty of beer, and the E Street Band, and Im good up till 4AM.

Most Bruce "fans" enjoy the variety of music he puts out. Not every album sounds the same and to me that's a great thing. It is strange to hear a Joad song followed by Dancing in The Dark though.

E Street radio is the only music station I have listened to since it started to air.

Trust me, you are not alone. I've been listening on and off for hours at a time and really enjoy the channel.

This is awesome! I was so thrilled when I found out they were doing this. I thought the Elvis channel was just plain stupid, but a BOSS channel - I can live with that! I'm really enjoying listening to all of his good stuff...

To those of you who are canceling or threatening to cancel over something like this - grow up. Sirius is not going to feel a couple of people cancelling due to a 3 month disruption that makes them upset. I think doing a channel like this is a really good idea. Rational people are not going to cancel because of this, but chances are they will gain a substantial amount of subs from it. I think it would be cool to see them make a channel that changes artists every week or month or so. However, I am surprised they chose to replace the Bridge. Oh well, I'm enjoying it!

The Elvis channel is stupid?!

It broadcasts live from Graceland. Hundreds of thousands of Elvis fans who visit Graceland every year will see Sirius there, and many will be very interested in Sirius--where they will be able to get a steady dose of Elvis 24-7 year around.

From a PR and business standpoint, the Elvis channel is a great idea.

Hey, DAB. Remember a few years ago when I was talking about XM's special programming versus Sirius, that The Loft played Springsteen for 3 days straight for an event? And then you said you were glad that Sirius didn't pull any stunts like that because that would require playing all kinds of terrible B-side songs that even Springsteen wouldn't like?

SUPRISE!

Fair enough. Didn't mean it was stupid from a marketing point, I'm just not a big Elvis fan

If it was strictly a music decision, I can think of other performers that would be on top of my list before "The King". "The Boss" would be one of them. How about a Beatles channel?

But I'm sure that the reason is MONEY, that the Elvis channel lives. It is a business and you have to be concerned with the bottom line!

Wow... On wednesday, I was going thru my Sirius radio changing all the presets (been meaning to do since the Sept 29th change) and started flipping thru the channels and came upon The Springsteen channel... It just so happened that one of my favorite Bruce songs came on...(dont remember which one)... Anyhoo, i was listening, and for about an hour, it was non-stop favorite Bruce songs... I forgot how much I like Bruce's earlier stuff...

Now I dont know if I just dont like his later stuff, or just heard it at a different point of my life...(Kinda like Star Wars... I was 10 when I saw it and it remains the best film experience of my life, but I doubt if i saw it for the first time today would I like it nearly as much...)

Anyhoo, count me in as a convert to the Bruce Channel... I may get tired of it in a few days, but I havent really listened to any other channels in the last weekend (other than traffic -- it is T-giving weekend yknow - lotta travelling)

And many are not big Bruce fans. The Elvis channel's debut in July of 2004 didnt replace or delete any channel as E Street has done to the
Bridge- there is where you find the complaints. Im not anti Springsteen- I like his music, but not 24/7 on a channel that was one of my favorites.

I think its time for Sirius to have a channel or two for things like the Kidney Stones, The Boss, and whatever other band they hook up with. I would listen to the Beatles channel, but I am not sure how many other would. I listen ti Elvis from time to time, but I have no interest in the Boss and the Kidney Stones.

Yes people do listen to it, but its probably a channel that you put on for a little while and then go on to something else. When I want a bit of Elvis its the place to go. But the real deal is that this station is connected to Graceland, where they really encourage people to get SIRIUS Sat Radio in order to listen to Elvis. I am sure there is a great promotional type arrangment there.

You wouldn't want to hear more than 3 to 4 songs from an artist? Have you never listened to an album before? That's really pathetic if you call yourself even a fan of music, no matter what kind of music it is.

And to everyone else who's bitching about them taking over channels, maybe you should take the hint: stop listening to crappy music.
