You have a valid point. The decades seem to ignore 99% of the R&B hits. I am looking forward to XM on Directv Nov. 15th for a good comparison with out buying the dark side yet.

I like the Boss but I'm glad his exclusive channel is "Born to Run" out on Jan. 31, 2006.

I love the Boss and would love a 24 hour station but I realise with all the other rock stations that play him, it's really not needed. All you really need is the ability to program in your favorite artist (like you do with the songs) so you can be alerted when their songs are comming on.

sirius has "the king" and now "the boss".

I can understand an all elvis channel. The promotion at graceland is worth it...

Bruce springsteen channel though??? Unless of course this is for cross promotion with the asbury park tourism board. (thats sarcasm for anyone who is familair with asbury park, NJ.)

Since it is only for 3 months it makes sense. If it was permanent, I would be disappointed at the loss of bandwidth. I will tune in though and get my fill of the Boss before it's off the air

It makes you wonder who will be next.

Doesn't anybody seem kind of annoyed that they are dedicating an entire channel for a few months on one artist while keeping off an entire music gendre (World music)? It just seems wrong.

I don't have SIRIUS and it's stuff like this that makes me not want to get it. Though I don't have SIRIUS I check this board a lot and have seen what SIRIUS has become during the last 2 years. It just seems that lately all SIRIUS cares about is rock, hip-hop, sports and Howard Stern (probably in reverse order). Isn't anybody concerned that in the past few years they have dropped an all funk channel, a Jazz channel, a folk channel and possibly their only true World channel for others that feature music heard on other channels? It just seems to be that they are sending a message that says "If you an older subscriber who enjoys diversity in music, screw you.". Dedicating an entire channel on one artist (who is very talented but does Bruce really deserve a channel for himself) while removing important music gendres is sad.

There's been a demand on these boards for a channel like this (provided this replaces Rolling Stones radio), of one artist a month or every couple of months. Maybe this is the start of something.

This is something I would listen to, especially since it's going to include deeper stuff instead of 'Hungry Heart' and 'Dancing in the Dark' 20 times a day. Maybe they can sneak in 'I'm a Rocker' or 'Backstreets' or Murder Incorporated.

As for who's next, maybe the Grateful Dead or Dylan or Johnny Cash. Those are artists who have that kind of catalog.

I enjoyed the Rolling Stones channel, but I'm not a big Springsteen fan. But he's popular so a lot of people must like him.

I think a featured artist channel would be good. Change it up every month. Some months may not be for me but others would be.

Maybe they could move the Depeche Mode channel over there. What's it called...oh yeah...1st Wave.

I'd like to comment on a post on the last page about people signing up just for this special event. IMHO not many will, I think this is mostly about keeping currect subs happy.
