Gee, do you think the extension of the RSR channel has anything to do with the Stones' current and very successful tour of the USA and Canada--with many of the venues sold out?

Sirius's relationship with the Stones is giving Sirius excellent exposure amongst hardcore Stones fans in both countries, young and old alike.

The Stones' concert tour and new studio album have but them back in the music media limelight, and Sirius's name is right out there with them in many instances.

Of course it does. But that doesn't mean every time someone has a successful tour that they need their own damn channel. And they should've ended it on the 29th like they originally stated.

Gee, most Music/SatRadio industry insiders thought it was about helping promote his 2005 Fall concert tour, which will take him to various venues from Boston to Florida, and as far west as Minnesota. Not to mention his upcoming "Born to Run" 30th anniversary 3-CD box set, scheduled to be released mid-November, just in time for Christmas.

But I guess it's really just about petty jealousy.

Default Let me clarify-----

Let me just clarify to all of the folks that are wondering why people are talking about R&B in the fourm. We now know that the Bridge will be the host station. We are just trying to make a point about Sirius and replacing channels while hurting there current subs. My one year sub is almost over. I would love to hear Howard, but I brought this service for music. Bruce, The Stones or Elvis don't work for me. I would rather have The Flow, or Luna or Suite 62 anyday.

ps: If Howard is funny I might give Sirius another year

Howard is sorta funny, but for 12.95 a month I see no reason to keep both services. It's on to XM full time unless things change between now and the end of the year.
I sorta have to agree-----its a shame!

I'm not sure the Bridge is the channel to dump for the boss, even if it is temporary. The Bridge is exactly that, a bridge between light rock/ac and classic rock. I think it would make more sense to drop one of the other light-rock channels like Movin' Easy, Starlight or Love which covers more of the same territory. tyhe Bridge hits a bunch of artists and a style that isn't coevred otherwise and the mix and imaging is excellent. And I'm more of a hard-rock guy!

I'm all for All-Boss, even though I'm not into him, but not in place of the Bridge.

Sirius has to make business decisions based on profitability and exposure, not pie-in-the-sky idealistic views of what the service should be or do.

As I previously mentioned, the Stones tour is a huge success, and there are many concerts left in many cities.

It would be bad business and downright stupid to cut off such a fruitful source of positive exposure for Sirius.

Not sure why you would think that, they aren't adding a new channel, just replacing an existing one for 3 months.

The Bridge is one of the stables around here if you ask me. This would be a mistake to use it for "The Boss". It's not like they haven't already made enough foul-ups, but we'll see. I listen to The Bridge daily, but I freaking HATE Bruce with a passion, in my opinion the man can't sing a lick.

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse... WHAM! LOL AMAZING!

Agree, not a good move to put it on The Bridge.

RIP The Bridge, see you in January.

Another vote against using the bridge for this! I can't believe anyone within Sirius would actually think this is a good idea to take over a popular channel. While some may love having the Boss 24/7 what about all of those that will lose a favorite channel? Why not just take over 98 by replacing the Rolling Stones 24/7? I thought it was a good idea when I assumed it would be on 98.

Please Sirius, don't use the Bridge!

I agree.

The Bridge is a great channel that shouldn't be fooled with just to accommodate one artist. I'm not a Bruce fan either....the man must be constipated because he's always grunting, and it honestly sounds like he's trying to take a dump.

I read a rumor that Hard Attack will be replaced with Milly-Vanilly for 3 months starting Thanksgiving day.
