I plan to pay extra for this. This would work great for me. If the quality really is better than the satellite feed, since I always have internet with me at 2.4mbps, I can always stream it, anywhere, at moments of bad sound quality!

At home, in the truck, on the go.

That's how I listen to XM most of the time -- I use my PPC6700 like an iPod and listen to the online stream. 64kbps sounds good through the little included earbuds.

Same here. I use the UTStarcom PPC-6700 / XV-6700 / HTC Apache from Verizon (XV-6700) - runs Windows Mobile 5. I still feel that all proposed SIRIUS internet radio price tiers are too high. Everyone has options, this is only 1 of them - and it costs money. Case in point, Windows Mobile. Their is a huge mobile market - it takes little or no time to create a Windows Mobile client for SIRIUS radio - yet, SIRIUS has not provided this to their customers. Their internet (web browser based) player lacks even the most basic features. I hacked one out many times better in less than 3 days. I am one guy - working in my spare time, they have millions of dollars to spend. You get my point? Their focus on music deployment is not the internet - its sat (birds.) Sat does not have the 'taboo' that comes with putting music on the internet. I would love to see it available everywhere, but paying for tv streams (cable, sat) cell phones and internet providers (www / email) on top of digital music - its expensive for personal entertainment. However, it costs money to make money - I can turn coffe and music into software. A curious situation indeed. I would love to see the actual internal proposals on this 'new deal' SIRIUS internet upgrade path. Is that possible? Can we see how much they expect to make or not make and why? Their is a reason that the price is what it is - but what is that reason, exactly? Who knows....

That's good news. Any idea when this online subscription starts from Sirius?

The new option is also showing up as a button (standard and premium) on the online player now. Clicked on premium and it took me to page with a signup link on it.

The options are $6.99 and $2.99. So to add 128KB streaming to just a single account it is $2.99. Just for Shits and Kicks I added it, I figure I can always cancel it if I don't use or am not happy with it. Thus far though I can tell there is a huge improvement in SQ vs the regular streaming SQ. Sounds great here in the office, now if this works with the Stiletto, I'll really be happy.

The quality upgrade is $2.99. And I added it, but I haven't gotten ANY improvement in quality - still streaming at 32kbps. Currently on hold with customer service....

I noticed the updates Sirius Internet Radio is offering the following channels.

Talk: Sirius Stars, Maxim, Sirius OutQ, Sirius Patriot, Sirius Left

Comedy: Raw Dog, Blue Collar, Laugh Break

Kids: Kid Stuff

Sports: Football Radio (seems the same as NFL Radio)

Entertainment: Cosmo, Martha Stewart, Playboy Radio

Sound Quality is Excellent!

I was told those channels were going to be added about a week or two ago, but I didn't think they'd add NFL Radio (the only one they didn't tell me about)

There's still going to be some more surprises coming on mid-late this week.
