The Bridge and The Globe were both taken over by the Brits (Stones & Who), does that qualify as a British invasion?

Nah, it needs to be a super shuffle of every british band from 1950 to 1980.

XM used to have World Zone and Ngoma (an all african-music channel). Both are a part of Worldspace. I have heard that XM wants to have an in-house world channel, but haven't seen or heard anything else to that regard since. It is a glaring hole in both satellite lineups.

A glaring hole, indeed! Count me as the fourth world music fan (was that three number supposed to be funny or insulting?). Single artist channels are pure idiocy. The folks who like a particular group likely have all their CDs anyway and can just load them into the changer and make their own channel.
Diversity was the promise of sat radio and every day that goes by seems to bring word that there will be just a little bit less of it. Some original thinking would seem to be in order, instead of the same old, same old that's been the hallmark of land-based radio for decades. My 2c FWIW.

Just for the record ... The Bridge started up again by playing "Strange Way" by Firefall, followed by "Hey Nineteen" by Steely Dan.

Welcome back, Bridge!

And The Who moved on over to 98 with "Join Together".... finally!!! I love the Stones too, but I can hear them on over 8 other channels already, they have had their 2 year run on a single channel- enough!

Holy Stones Batman? When I get home I am going to have that on ALL night. I like to chill in the evening and I tear myself away from the BBC and Hard Attack.
