Default CES: Clifford Scout420 Navigation System - with Optional Sirius Dock(Update: Pricing)

<img align="right" src="http://www.siriusbackstage.com/downloads/Scout.jpg">
Directed Electronics has announced that they are releasing what they call the "<a href=http://www.cliffordscout.com/>Clifford Scout420 SIRIUS-Ready Portable Navigation System and Personal Media Player</a>" on their interactive website. It is an all-in-one system that includes GPS navigation, a 20GB hard drive, full color screen, and, when using the optional dock for it, Sirius Radio.

The Sirius option, pictured, shows title, artist, channel logo, equalizer settings, and function buttons, which they have not said what they are yet. We believe out of the four bottom ones on the display, the left is likely a direct entry button, the second from the left is a jump button, second from right a settings button, and the right a preset button. It is unknown if it will allow you to record Sirius channels at this time, and you cannot use Sirius while on the go.

Update: the release price of this is a tad pricey, at $699, plus $99 for the Sirius cradle. Hopefully it will come down a bit by then.

This is absolutley awesome. I want one. Is there anywhere that has release date and price info? It also says you need the sirius dock. I wonder if you need a special reciever. I would have thought it would be built in.

We have very little information on the Clifford Scout so far. Of the docks that I have seen in the past, they are just a means for connecting wires (antenna, audio, etc) into a receiver. I would imagine this is going to be the same.

Looking at the special Sirius dock needed, the back is awfully fat for just connecting wires. I think that the electronics are in there.

If you look at the bottom of the unit on the website, it says the dock will connect to an "I/O Connector" on the bottom.
