Just to be clear on this, we purchased overlay bandwith for video so we are not wasting anything. This was pushed through by Chrysler, not by anyone at Sirius and it will be years before we see any return on this.

Can you clarify this any? I seem to recall siri licensing a technolgoy for hierarchical modulation about 18 months ago. Is this what you are referring to? That is, will siri be using its gains from hier. mod. to do the video (rather than more audio channels or greater bandwidth allocations to existing channels)? Given that siri doesn't have any more spectrum they couldn't just buy more bandwidth, no?

TIA for any further clarification>

This solves the problem of TV in the truck. I wanted to get a TV tuner to at least listen to TV (but have passengers watch). I didn't get one though because HD is right around the corner, and the Pioneer tuner is (well, analog), so that's useless.

I've been looking for more information on this for a while.

I will subscribe when this launches. That's not all, though!

This is giving me a gateway to lose XM. I don't like their sound quality. The day this launches, I purchase the SC-V1, put my SIR-PNR1 up for sale, with my GEX-P900XM, GEX-P10XMT, MyFi, and XM PCR.

Yes!
