Default Polarity Problem

I have and XTR1 with the car adaptor. I have lost the car adaptor and would like to remove it work in my shop. Does anyone know where I can get just an AC adaptor the will plug into my setup or what is the polarity of the 6 volt needed? I have a 6 volt adaptor that I could make work but I have no way of knowing which pin is + or -. Any help will be greatly appreciated. All the best Gene

You can get the AC adapter here.

But if you want to make one.

They are usually 12vdc not 6vdc.

The center connector is usually positive and the outer connector is usually negative.
